Introduction
Global economy is being concerned with finding more and more business opportunity to gain the
advantage of different growing trends. The current economic conditions of the country are facing
new trends such as globalization, free trade and use of information technology. With this, being a
project manager, current project will review the impact of globalisation in dental care services in
terms of achieving the competitive advantage. Current project will follow the systematic process
such as giving aims and objectives, devising project management plan, giving proper
recommendations, conclusions and reflecting on the understanding during the project. This
project would provide the immense opportunity to understand different benefits and drawbacks
of the globalisation on Dental health care services.

Task 1
P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
Introduction
Research is being conducted to have the suitable understanding about globalisation that has
resulted in gaining business competitive advantage. Being a project manager, current project is
conducted to develop the effective learning regarding the impact of globalisation in terms of its
benefits and challenges with dental health care. Dental health Centre is a small organisation in
UK that serves quality of implant services in dental health care industry. This provides
treatments regarding any kind of dental diseases with the best use of technology to enhance
satisfaction and relief to the customers.
Project management process
Project management is being defined as the systematic process followed by project manager to
achieve suitable goals with the specific period of time. Such process covers six stages that
include initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of the project (Turner,
2014). Current project will be based on the objectives to review the critical impact of
globalisation in dental health care with designing comprehensive plan and management of the
budget.
Globalisation
According to (Potrafke, 2015), globalisation is being defined as the simple way countries and
people of the world interact and integrate. This is also the growing trend that is utilised by the
businesses to gain the competitive advantage. Also globalisation is defined as sharing of ideas
and information between and throughout the countries also it establishes the political relation
between such countries (Wittmann, 2014). These influence businesses to develop the
international influence to operate on global scale.
Project aims and objectives

Aim: The current aim of this business project is to identify the impact of globalization providing
dental care services on Dental Health Centre and study the benefits and drawbacks of
globalization on the growth of the business.
Objectives:
 To study the quality of implants service in Dental Health Centre
 To analyze the price of implant services as an impact of globalization.
 To assess benefits and drawbacks of globalisation in dental care services
 To apply different tools and techniques along with successful completion of project on
time.
Project Rationale
Globalisation is one of the growing trends that are providing business opportunity to establish on
the global scale. Current topic is interesting as researcher would be able to analyse the current
trends in the economy that is supporting business to grow. The current topic is being chosen to
ensure that if globalisation would be the good option for the business to gain the competitive
advantage. With this, Dental care centre would be able to utilise the benefits of globalisation and
would avoid the challenges that can hinder business growth.
Literature review
The current research would be conducted with taking in consideration different research articles
and research paper that are based on the impact and constraints of globalisation and public dental
health. Detail review is being given in the Task 3 that shows immense impact of the
globalisation.
P2 Produce a project management plan
Scope
Current project would help Dental health Centre to analyse the impact of globalisation in terms
of taking advantage and overcoming the challenges. The scope of the project is based on
collecting the relevant data and information and completes the project on time (Kerzner and
Kerzner, 2017). Also proper quality would be maintained to deliver the outcomes of the project.

Cost
The current costing of the project is being based on recording, analysis, reporting, the
participants involved, resources used for research, team hiring, travel, transportations, tea, coffee
cost, etc. The cost is being elaborated as:

Time (milestone)
This is one of the major objectives for project manager to complete the research on time. For
assessing the impact of globalisation overall project manager would acquire 6 weeks that
includes all the stages of project management plan and giving the valid findings and conclusion.
For managing the work on time, the activities of overall project are being divided into Gantt
chart.
Quality
For managing the quality of the project it is effective for project manager to optimise the
activities as per the time. Also authentic and reliable sources are being used to carry out the
research that will deliver qualitative outcomes of the research (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017).
Project manager would help in managing the quality by measuring regular progress and
coordination with the team.
Risk
Current risk in the project includes lack in commitment of the team members, poor attention of
the respondents, etc. Communication gap is also one of the risks that can lead to delay in
completion of the project. In addition, delay in completion of day activities can hinder the project
to complete on time.

Constraints
There are three main constraints of the project that includes scope, cost and project schedule. It is
known as the triangle constraints that help in meeting with the specific goals, deliverables and
task that define the boundaries of the project (Crawford, 2014). For this, project manager has
wider scope to give suitable findings and limited cost and time for completion of the project.
Project manager need to optimum utilise the resources in order to avoid the match the resources
with requirements of the project.
Resources (material and human)
For the current project it requires both human resources in form of the team that will perform
different activities of the project. Material resources include chairs, tables, laptops and other
physical resources that would help in completing the tasks and processes. Also MS office is
being used to design the Gantt chart, work breakdown structure (WBS), etc.

Task 2
P4 Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research methods
appropriate for meeting project aims and objectives
Small scale research is being conducted by the project manager with the application of accurate
and reliable methods. Current project has used mixed research methods that would help in
collection of appropriate information that matches with the aims and objectives (Morse, 2016).
Quantitative method is being used to collect the primary data as the data would be collected on
the basis of numerical context with the help of Questionnaire. The sample size of the respondents
has being taken as 60 on the random basis and the data is being collected from doctors, interns,
assistants Dentist, etc that work in Dental health centre. The questionnaire was mailed to such
respondents and prior consent was collected by the researcher to ensure active participation of
the respondents.
Qualitative research has being used to collect the secondary data with the help of books, journals,
articles, research papers, etc that has justified and authentic supported by professional authors.
Current research method is effective as it matches with the nature of the project that would help
to assess the key impact of globalisation on dental care services. Research has being carried out
with both the methods to have justified, reliable and authentic outcomes to meet with aims and
objectives.
For conducting the research, researcher has followed different ethics that will overcome the bias
results of the research. One of the ethic include maintaining the confidentiality that means data
collected is being stored at the accurate and reliable places that will result in positivity within the
outcomes (Morse, 2016). Fairness is also maintained that means respondents includes both male
and female that will participate in the research. Researcher would also give outcomes based on
the fairness means bias nature of the researcher is being avoided and prior consent is being taken
from the respondents to show their active participation in the research.
