The following paper discusses the impact of globalization on the education and the work-
culture in the societal setups present all over the world. The following paper attempts a critical
review of two scholarly sources and thereafter justifies the implementation of the key features
discussed in the sources in the practical scenario. The paper opens with a description of the key
issue as presented within the articles. The paper proceeds to put forth an analysis of the
arguments that had been put forth by the authors of the articles. The paper nears a conclusion
with the discussion of the various outcomes that might follow in case the identified feature is
implemented in a real-life scenario.
Description
The major themes that are highlighted in the given articles refer to the impact of the
globalization on the education sector and the development of the knowledge base of the people
who have been residing within the country. Christie (2008) in the book chapter entitled
“Globalisation, the 'knowledge economy' and education” discusses the impact of the proper
education on the population in Africa. The authors tend to discuss the ways in which the
implementation of the globalization might help in the development of the knowledge base of the
local residents in the area. The book chapter further highlights the importance and the effects of
the globalization on the education that is provided to the residents of the developing countries of
the world, like Africa. The article by de Sousa Santos (2006) entitled “Globalizations. Theory,
Culture & Society” further enhances the impact of the globalization on the culture and the
educational development of the residents of the developing countries of the world. The article
further highlights the issues that are presented during dealing with the existing hegemony as well

as the counter hegemony that is generally presented within the cultural and the social factors that
are evident within the countries all over the world.
Analysis
The articles in discussion assists the readers of the articles in the development of the
knowledge on the impact of the globalization on the education industry that is present within the
given countries in discussion. The article by Christie (2008) stated the fact that the globalization
processes tend to have a huge influence on the educational factors that are presented within the
societal conditions presented within the country. The article further helps in the development of
the issues that are presented in the maintenance of the globalization that has been spreading with
the advent of the global culture within the given country. The author finds a support in his claim
in the article by de Sousa Santos (2006). The article by de Sousa Santos (2006) stated the various
effects observed within the grounds of the cultural hegemony that is present within all the
various societal boundaries active internationally. The major example that is cited by de Sousa
Santos (2006) refers to the example of the labor standards that are maintained within the societal
setup maintained by the organization.
The author highlights the fact that the implementation of the globalization within the
given countries tend to implement the concept of the work-life balance and the proper workplace

countries. This further helps in the prevention of the sale of the products at lower prices in the
international markets. This is considered to be a positive impact of the implementation of the

The implementation of the globalization in the fields of education and the cultural
upliftment of the people in terms of the work culture that is presented within the organizations.
The country of India is known to have been one of major developing states in the world. The
country is known to have a section of the workforce who do not have proper access to the proper
work conditions as well as face a huge dearth in the receipt of the worthy amount of the
remuneration for their contribution to the process of the production of the various products that
are manufactured within the production units that are presented within the country. The
implementation of the proper globalized workforce set up within the country might lead to the
development of the proper work-culture within the organizations active in the Indian markets
(Bengtsson & Östman, 2016). The implementation of the globalization within the Indian
subcontinent is observed to have been affecting the education sector as well. The globalization
within the country have impacted the educational sector in a manner that encourages the
development of the knowledge base within the country through the implementation of the
western education within the country. This would further help in the development of the
workforce that would be capable of undertaking the activities that are required in order to deal
with the global workforce. This might also lead to the greater chances of employment within the
various multinational organizations that have been operating in India as well (Zajda, 2015). The
increase in the knowledge base of the potential employees residing within the country would thus
in turn lead to the development of the economic growth within the country through the increase
in the employability of the residents of the country.

Conclusion
In lieu of the above discussion it might be stated that the implementation of the
globalization within the educational and the cultural aspects of the country might lead to the
development of the knowledge base of the concerned employees of the organization. This in turn
helps in the development of the employability of the residents of the concerned country. The
increase in the employability of the citizens in turn lead to the economic growth of the country
which would assist the country in discussion to initiate a development of the overall conditions
that are presented within the country.
