Globalization is a phenomenon, which is influencing multinational Enterprises all over the
world. Through globalization, there is a high level of competition within the market.
Additionally, there is high growth, improved advanced technology, innovation and more demand
is created in the market. In the context of the Retail Industry, especially globalization plays an
important role as it helps elevate enterprises to new markets. For the purposes of this report
Marks and Spencer has been chosen it is one of the leading retail brands in the United Kingdom.
The positive implications of globalization on the enterprise through economic ethical and
cultural values will be investigated. In this report and how a positive impact on the operations

In the following study, several aspects have been investigated in the context of globalisation for
Marks and Spencer. These aspects include positive economic ethical and cultural impact of
globalisation on the various departments of the company.
Problem Statement
Globalisation is the way through which enterprises expand on to other countries and elevate their
operations in multiple locations so that there is a higher level of productivity and profit within
the enterprise (Beck, 2018). However, in the process of globalisation and expansion, there are
several factors, which have to be faced by multinational companies. This includes changes in
cultural value, which a new organisation such as Marks and Spencer faces when dealing with a
new economy. Along with which there are changes in the ethical direction of the companies’

There are several forms of research strategies, which are used to investigate the topic of
