Reason for choosing this Research Topic
Globalisation has been considered as the process that has significantly increased the
integration and interaction among the companies, government and people worldwide. The
topic has shown the relevance to be studied upon as it has significantly affected the
multinational organisation with variant business functions. It has also led many businesses to
work across the geographical boundaries, therefore, leading to political, global, cultural and
economic integration. The study will significantly help me to understand the impact of
globalisation to the multinational organisation. In order to validate the project, the research
approach will help me to build the knowledge and skills associated with the formation of
research and project approach. It will help me to assess the different aspects that globalisation
has played a part to the successful market expansion and challenges that interlinks the
process. The core reason to choose this topic also signifies the key importance showing the
rapid change of functions and global influences on the business processes that has shown
different benefits or challenges to reach the foreign buyers.

Globalisation as a momentous process has gained a tremendous drive in the recent decade,
therefore, resulting in an unprecedented awareness and human interconnectedness as on the
global concerns (Reese et al., 2015). The issues on such concerns have showcased various
perspectives that have reflected different psychological processes in underlining the

areas or aspects reflecting the social psychological application and theorising the concerns
has determined supranational identification and attachments, the ideological and political
response to the concept of globalisation and thirdly the global change and protest. The
prospects have shown different future prospects that have been emerging significantly in the
field of globalisation and have acknowledged the change in industrial function in tumultuous
times.
Digital Trade Transforming Globalisation
Digital technologies have shown drastic improvement in the present age of technology and its
advancements. Such technologies have also transformed the global-based flows of services,
goods, people and money; Digital trade has been represented as albeit, essential and hard-to-
measure components in the global prospect. Digital trade has influenced the growth,
development and assumption to new forms while facilitating globalisation as a concept and
hence transforming it significantly. Transformation of the process has shown different cross-
border flow in digital goods, internet of things and creating online platforms for the
exchange, consumption and production of products (Lund and Manyika, 2016).

Research Philosophy
Research philosophy is defined as the belief towards different ways through which the data is
gathered, utilised and analysed. Considering the nature of the project objectives, Positivism
research philosophy has been selected as the considered philosophy for the research project
(Hughes and Sharrock, 2016, 2017). To gain and develop the information further, positivism
ensures all factual knowledge with precise observation and including the measurement with
highly structured methods. Positivism ensures the large samples as the concern that ensures
the researcher to conduct both quantitative and qualitative research aspects in the further
research project.
Research Approach
The research approach is defined as the process and plan that includes the steps to broader
assumptions with all detailed methods in analysing and interpreting the data (Quinlan et al.,
2019). Deductive research approach has been admired as the most relevant approach for this
research project. Deductive approach significantly supports the combined steps and strategies
in a detailed format. It formulates the hypothesis that is required to be rejected or confirmed
in during the process with the deductive approach.

research questions. It has been divided into two different methods that are the primary data
collection method and secondary data collection method.

Mixed Data collection method that is both primary and secondary data collection method has
been selected in order to gain data from the relevant sources. The research project identifies
all the relevant primary source that to survey and interview the employees and managers of
multinational companies in order to gain the knowledge on how the globalisation impact on
the corporate structures of the respective organisation (Beins, 2017). The secondary sources
support the hypothesis from the pre determined data and information published in relevant
