impact on the geopolitical scenario of the countries across the globe. The information
communications and technology has made it easier for the nations across the world to connect
on the platform which has decreased the distance between them. This has given a wider reach
to the masses across the world through the media. The role of the media industry has also
increased as globalization has made it easier for people across the globe to be aware of what
is happening around the world.
Effect of Globalization on Television
Access to media in this era of globalization is global and has access to people all
around the world. If we see the role of television or broadcasting then every nation across the
globe has tried to follow America's media trend and what the audiences watch across the
world has been influenced by the American culture (Bahmad, 2015). The examples can be of
the reality shows of America as the Big Brother show. Other countries are adopting the same
format ding to the interest of their local audiences (Brennan, 2015).

easier for the people across the world to be updated not only on the current happenings but

freedom through globalization, as it has made easier to influence the people and motivate
them to unite on a certain issue around the world. Television has made a bigger impact on the
lives of people as it is one major medium that has a huge reach to the masses across the world
(Raschke, 2011). Globalization has helped in the homogenization of diverse cultures across
the globe. The media industry across the globe has helped in identifying the diversities in the
culture and presented it through television across the world which has made people aware of
various cross-cultural societies and their surroundings.
In this period of globalized media, people sitting in a different country can see
through the television what is happening in their native countries and see the change in
culture and upliftment of their society through the television. This has helped in the
distribution of mass media content across the world (Seidov, 2018). Today, at the global
level media especially the television has become an important tool to retaliate on issues
which the masses thinks is not good for their welfare and society. The television has the
power to influence people across various cultures and societies, it has shown the power to
change what is not good for the betterment of society (Meti, 2014). The power of
globalization is that it links the locals of any country across the continent. There is an
exchange of cultural and traditional practices which is accessible by the local community of a
country who is living in any other country through the presence of television (Murphy, 2017).
The role of broadcasting conglomerates has made the reach of television industry at

the societal, political and cultural change in any country. The availability of different formats
for different nations and with the integration of economies at the global level, it has made it

role of television encompasses the cultural, social, economic and political arena of the
country. In the global arena also television has been representative of the changes that are
taking place in society. They influence the way in which countries adapt themselves to the

reflected in the economy of the country through stock markets. Such is the role of television
