Scope: It defines the key deliverables and milestones which are to be achieved. Present
investigation on topic cultural, ethical and economic effect of globalisation on Her an Marketing
functions has limited scope.
Time : It is one of the most essential component of project plan. Time is basically a schedule
which consists of the period within which specific task is required to be completed (Adhariani,
Sciulli and Clift, 2017). Gantt chart has been drawn by investigator which consists of start as
well as finish time of each research activity, as this has assisted them in completion on
investigation on time.
Quality: The validity and reliably of data collected by scholar during the time of investigation is
complete based on quality of information. It is the factor which has direct as well as significant
impact on the results of research. Few Quality standards has been set by investigator in present
study which will assist them in analysing the performance gap. It will also provide scholar an
ease in monitoring.
Communication : It is considered to be as crucial component of project management plan. An
effective communication is very much important in order to avoid overlapping of activities as

strategies such as they have communicated the all important information about investigation
procedures to participants. In addition to this they have taken written consent before gathering
the information. In addition to this, there is high risk of delay in completion of research project
time. Scholar in order to avoid the risk of delay in research has adopted the time management
strategy.
Resources: Resources are needed at each and every phase such as for developing plan related to
execution of study to implementation of investigation procedure. The important resources which
execution of the research are funds, human resource, technology, communication devices,

P4. Research methodology
Research methodology can be define as the procedure implemented by the researcher for
collection, analysis and interpretation of data. The methodologies can be involved publications
research, interview, surveys and other investigation techniques. It can involve both present and
historical data or info. The various methods used by investigator for performing the different
activities in order to gather the information related to the cultural, economic and ethical effect of
globalization on HR and marketing function of Tesco are:
Research type: It defines the study which scholar in planning to execute. Research type can also

into two these are qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative research can be defined as the
procedure of naturalistic inquiry (Fletcher, 2017). Quantitative research can be referred to as a
systematic procedure of collecting the numerical data related to the topic. Scholar for
conducting the investigation for analyzing the cultural, ethical and economic effect of
globalization has selected to execute qualitative inquiry. It has been chosen by scholar for
collecting the in depth information related to the topic. On the basis on numeric data, investigator
can easily collect the data from the participants for attaining the research aims and objectives.
Research design: It is the tactic which is implemented by investigator in order to integrate the
different elements of the study. Research design can be classified into different groups such as
experimental, exploratory, explanatory and descriptive (Guercini, 2014.). Researcher has used
the explanatory research design for analysing the cultural, ethical and economic effect of
globalization on HR and marketing function of Tesco. Researcher has implemented the
explanatory research design as it helps then in developing the in depth understanding about the
topic. Experimental research is study conducted within scientific approach where set of variances
are being measured as the topic of experiment. Another research design is the descriptive that
includes observing and describing the activity of the topic without effecting it any way.
Exploratory research is normally conducted to research problem which has not been clearly
determined yet. The aim of this design is to explore study topic with varying the levels of depth.
Research approach : It is the tactics which is designed by researcher on the basis of assumption
about the methodology which can be used for collecting, analyzing and interpreting information.
Selection of the research approach is completely based on the nature of issue as well as subject
matter. The two research approaches are inductive and deductive. Scholar for analyzing the
cultural, ethical and economic effect of globalization on HR and marketing function of Tesco
has used inductive research approach (Guest, and et.al., 2017.). The reason because of which
investigator has used inductive research approach is that inductive research approach allows
investigator to develop new hypothesis by using the collected data. Deductive research approach
is taken with evolving hypothesis based on existing concept then designing research strategy to
test the possibility. This approach can be derived from propositions of the concept.
Research philosophy: It is mainly the perception of different investigator about the strategies or
techniques which can be used for performing various research activities. The two types of
research philosophy are interpretative and positivism (Humphries, 2017). In context of present
Document Page
investigator on topic cultural, ethical and economic effect of globalization on HR and marketing
function of Tesco researcher has used interpretivism research philosophy. Reason due to which
investigator has used the interpretivism research philosophy is that it supports researcher in
ensuring the validity of information. Another philosophy is positivism which is more complex in
precise and concise manner. This philosophy is based on observation involving measurement.
This philosophy depends on quantifiable observations which lead to statistical analysis. The
number of variables in explaining positivism can be equal to number of writers who addressed
the field of research philosophy.
Sampling : It is the procedure used in the statistical analysis in which predetermined number of
observations are taken from large population. There are many types of techniques which can be
used for selecting the few people as participants from large population these are simple random,
cluster, stratified etc (Ledford and Gast, 2018). Researcher in present study has used the
purposive sampling for selecting 20 managers working in Tesco. Rationale for which
investigator has selected the purposive sampling as it provide wide range of non-probability
techniques. In addition to this, by using the purposive sampling investigator can easily reach
target sample. Another sampling method is the simple random which means subset of individual
select from bigger population. It is the unbiased measuring technique. It is the basic kind of
sampling which can be element of other more complex sampling methods.
Data collection : In context of present study, scholar has gathered information from both
primary and secondary sources. The scholar has used both the sources for gathering the detailed
information related to the cultural, ethical and economic effect of globalization on HR and
marketing function of TESCO. Questionnaire method has been selected by scholar for collecting
the facts related to topic (Robson and McCartan, 2016). Reason because of which investigator
has selected the questionnaire method is that by using the specific data collection technique the
answers provided by the participants can be easily analyzed. Another method is the interview in
which investigator ask some question to participants relating to topic and getting the outcome.
With the interview, investigators gather appropriate data or info that can help to get the result of
research.
Data analysis: It is the procedure of transforming as well as modeling of data in order to
discover useful information (Silverman, 2016.). Data analysis helps investigator in making useful
decisions. Thematic analysis is the technique which has been used by investigator in present
Document Page
study. The important reason because of which scholar has prepared themes is that it provides
investigator an ease in analyzing the pattern of answers provided by participants. With this,
researcher can easily get the result and attain the objectives of study. Through this, they are
collected the data from the frequency of themes.
