Section One: Executive Summary
This research aims to investigate the impact and influences of globalization on the
banking sector of the United Kingdom.
It should contain answers to the following questions:
Objectives of the study
 To analyze the concept of globalization
 Analyzing the recent trends of the banking industry and their link with the
globalization.
 Conduct a literature review about the influences of globalization on banking sector
positively and negatively.
 Advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing strategy used by the banked of the
UK.
 Analyzing the impact of outsourcing strategy about the consumers perspective.
 provide recommendations in relation to the use of opportunities generating from
the globalization activities.
 Providing suggestion about future research.
Importance of Research
The outcomes of this research can provide information about the positive and negative
changes in the banking sector of the UK, due to the adoption of globalization functions.
Further, the activities that are resulting in facing the challenges to the banks will also be
analyzed. In addition to this, the impact on the competition level due to the globalization
practices and their impact on profitability and consumer experience. The requirement and
area for future research can also be known after conducting proper literature review and

research on this topic (Wong and Psych, 2016) .
3. How do you intend to go about answering the research aims and objectives? i.e.
methods and methodology.
To answer the research questions, and to achieve the aims and objectives of the research, a
mixed research methodology will be conducted in this research paper. This is also known
as descriptive research in which the theoretical, as well as primary research, will be
conducted and data will be collected from the different banks performing well in the
banking industry. The practices performed in the banks related to operations, human
resource management, ease in transactions and customer satisfaction rate will be studied
intensively. This study includes both type of data, primary as well as secondary. Primary
data will be collected from the market analyst, banking persons, customers and managers
(Schutt, 2018) . Secondary data will be collected from the financial statements,
globalization policies and government policies, annual reports on banks and human
resource policies. Different type of data sources will be used as per the requirement of the
aims and objectives of this study.
4. What are your expected timeframe, cost, and any other resources required for the
project?
The expected time frame for this research is two months that can be possible with the
availability of important financial and human resources. The total estimated required cost
of this project will be £100-120 which will be divided into the management of resources
and human power. In addition to financial and human resources, there will also be the
need for other resources which will be discussed in the research report (Hennink , et. al.,
2017).
Section Two: Title, objective, responsibilities
The central issue is to analyze the extent to which, banking operations are influenced by
the globalization practices. Thus, the aims and research are also developed in such a

manner that may cover almost all aspects that are required to be analyzed to find the same.
In addition to this, the negative as well as the positive impact of such influence on the
overall performance of the banking sector.
Section Three: Reasons for choosing this research project
The main reason behind the selection of this project is to improvise the knowledge in the
field of globalization and to know how it is contributing to the banking industry as well as
to the economy of the UK. The skills related to the research and analysis of data will also
be improved and it will also help in providing an overview of the economy as the banking
industry contributes the most in the development of an economy.
Section Four: Literature sources searched
The key sources that are used in this research paper include journal articles. research
papers, white papers, information published on the government books and newspapers on
the topic of globalization. In addition to this, the change in the working culture and the
profitability of the banks will also be considered while providing the final
recommendations.
Section Four: Research approach and methodologies
This research will be carried out by using the mixed methodology of research in which
primary, as well as secondary research approaches, will be used. In primary research, the
questionnaire will be prepared to survey the banking industry of the UK. In secondary
research, a literature review will be conducted of the existing research papers and the
reports presented on the banking sector of the UK. Total estimated time to conduct this
research is two months. All activities related to the research project will be divided into
smaller sections with the help of the Gantt Chart. This will help the reader is getting all

the functions and time taken by each function. The participants will be included based on
their will and no influence will be made in terms of ethical, financial and social manner
(Quinlan, et. al., 2019) .
