1.3 Project description
The Training and Apprenticeship program for high School Student (TAHS) is undertaken by Globex.
The corporation Globex is to help the farmers increase their productivity and to significantly reduce
the time, effort and cost needed for production. Since the farm has over 30 years of experiences in
the field of agricultural business, any training provided by the corporation to the high school student
will act as a good addition to the their academic qualification. The additional experience that the
student will be gaining will help in better understanding of the agricultural business and will further
help the high school students in securing good job in future. The training program that has been
planned will help the students to gather different business skills that the students might be needed
in the different sectors. Prior to the training program, the course details along with the personal
details of the high school students would be collected. In order to efficiently store the details,
Globex is in need of a computer based system that will help in storing the data collected from the
students. Virtucon has been a long standing client of Globex and therefore, the project of developing
a computer based system has been given to Virtucon. Virtucon will be managing the development
of a computer based system free of charge. It is expected that the project will be delivered within
the set time frame.

The project has been a great learning experience for me as I have understood the need and
importance of various project issues, project management tools and techniques that can help in
mitigation of the issues associated with the project. I have understood that in order to successfully
lead a project is essential for a project team to have basic knowledge about the various project
management tools, project management methodology and techniques associated with a project.
Apart from that, I have understood the importance of having appropriate leadership qualities. A
good project leader is expected to lead the team in an efficient manner so that the major
requirements of the project are fulfilled. A project manager is needed to possess a good
communication and negotiation skill. The project management experiences I had helped me in
understanding the leadership qualities is a project. I have understood the importance of appropriate
communication and management of the stakeholders of the project. Project manager further needs
to understand the importance of time management is project management. A project manager is
considered a vital resource of the project. I have understood that with efficient team management it
is possible to achieve project success. Along with the team management, it is essential to manage
the tasks and the activities associated with the project as well. This will ensure that the project is
delivered within the deadline set by the project owner.
4.1 Reflection
