My Review towards the Findings of the
Ignition Recalls in relation with legal
liability and executive departure
In relation to the recall procedure, various lawsuits are filed.
These lawsuits alleged that GM was aware of this ignition fault since
2002 but does not rectify it.
This results in various deaths and fatalities to people.
In addition to these lawsuits, GM 2014 recall also result to the
departure of various business executives.

Recommendation for leveraging

Information system helps in smooth and successful recall process.
It also supports all the efforts of the management including its recall
response teams.
This makes the company focus on information technology to absorb
the increased strain of recall without impacting normal operations.

Recommendation for leveraging personnel and

Effective logistics and motivated recall response team also play an important role in a
smooth recall process.
Thus, General Motors needs to enhance its personnel, logistics and resources.
This creates needs of improvement in logistics as when organisation involve its
personnel with creating of teams effectively participate in the recall process.
In addition, proper means of transportation needs to be identified so that the recalled
cars are transported swiftly.
