The principle of holistic approach: In this approach the things are seen as they are having
inter-related elements which can create impact in communicating with the consumers of Good
day girl. In this there are some sort of challenges which requires not depending upon the
knowledge you possess the company should consider the external environment and also
emergence of new trends and fashion (Joy,2012).
The principle of sustainable management of resources: This approach is related with the view

It has been summarized that there are numerous definitions available which are related to the
sustainable development but it has been observed that the mentioned definition is from the
Report of Brundtland (1987) which helps in identifying the sustainable development which put
emphasis on satisfying the needs of the recent generations without creating any sort of
boundaries in regards with the future generation so that they can achieve their own set of
required things. Sustainable development leads to reductions in the utility which are related with
the future generations and also they put emphasis on acquiring from natural resources in the
economy and vice –versa which cannot be missed (Fu & Väätänen, 2017) .
Nowadays, everyone is consuming the resources in the huge amount and also at fast pace which
is creating the situation in which things cannot be replaced. This is resulting in frequent
consumption of materialistic things and affecting the economy which is creating destructions in
the one way or the other. Sustainability cannot be bounded by the single country or any regions
as it is used at global level.

Discussions
In today’s area the community is facing numerous issues which even government and non-profit
organisation and they are unable to resolve them in proper manner. The certified B Corporations
are born as the businesses who focus on achieving the set standards related to the sustainability
development and at the same time it tends to create positive impact on the economy and as well
as on environment.
Fashion industry has attracted more and more consumers in accordance with the emergence of
new trends and fashion. This results in the purchase decisions of consumer they become more
conscious towards their clothing which means they think before spending a penny. Fashion
industry has generated huge impact in economy by new fashion sense and also it becomes one of
the major problems according to current situation. The problem is related to the unethical
manufacturing practices which is affecting the sustainability of business in the fashion industry.
The solutions to this problem are using the trend of recyclable clothes to create new clothes and
there are putting emphasis on promoting the use of recycled materials. Their main motto is to put
light on the usage of recycled material and also focus on reducing the impact of fashion industry
on the environment. It is necessary for the fashion brands or people involved in the industry to
make certain changes which can be considered as the sustainable solution.
Good Day Girl being a small company has achieved huge amount of success in the clothing
industry which is even B certified and had an overall B impact. They are those individuals who
have changed them according to the needs and requirements of the customers and work in
accordance with the requirements of customers (Ionescu, 2012).
Being a B Corporation business, Good day Girl initiated the actions which are related and in
accordance with the sustainable development and also focus on achieving the SGD. The business
model which is selected by the company is focused on delivering the customized and designed
fashion clothing according to the needs and requirements of the consumers. The needs of the
consumers are never ending and to act accordingly is tough task within the emerging culture of

The designing and customizing requires time which requires time and termed as slow fashion
and people are more drawn towards the brands that are following the fast fashion from the
famous and well reputed brands like H&M, Zara etc. These brands are making clothes very
rapidly according to the changes which arise in the economy and which also has major drawback
too unused clothes are piling up in the stores and creation of new is becoming very fast (Prado &
García,2013) . This is creating negative impact on the environment as it leads to the situation of
polluting the environment and increasing the production of new clothes in accordance with
emerging fashion.
Secondly, it put emphasis on the reduction of excessive clothing by taking order and making
customized clothes which will result in no waste material and there will less impact in the
environment. The customization is very important and necessary mode which ensures the lesser
use of garments and helps in protection of the environment.
Lastly it also includes the different way of pursuing the business which means selling the
products to selling services. In this the clothes are made within the 6 week and then consumers
are invited to visit trunk store which is situated in the Sydney and to have an unbelievable
experiences for their purchase (Shen, 2014).
Good Day girl has been using the approach which requires lesser appearances related to the
environmental and other social factors. The fashion industry also damages the resources which
are required in making the clothes such as polyester, nylon and acrylic and these people are
mostly using these fabrics to wear the clothes instead of other natural fabrics.
The company has taken the decision to use natural fabrics which causes less impact on the
environment and there will be no use of materials which can harm the environment. The use of
organic and natural fabrics and making dresses in accordance with the customer’s order also help
them to contribute in the society in proper manner (James, 2012).
There are brands which use materials which have the power to cause disruptions in the economy
which has become a matter of concern and at the same it is also affecting the concept of
sustainability in the economy.

discrimination, inequalities and other aspects are eliminated by having proper knowledge which
results in treating people in proper manner and also increases the chance of sustainability for
upcoming generations (Houlahan & Osusky,2016).
