The Google Ad word is an advertising platform which is present online and that
can be accessed with the help of internet. A Google Ad word was designed and
developed by the American multinational technological company known as the Google.
With the help of the Google Ad word, the advertisers or the company or the business
organization who give money would to able to put up or display a small advertisements
about the various services provided by the company in addition to listing of their
different products manufactured by the business organizations for the potential customer
or consumers base. A small video content would be developed by the business
organization that would be promoted by the Google Ad word`s online advertising
platform. In recent time, with the advancement of different technologies many mobile
applications are created with the help of which many advertisements and promotional
activities are done by the Google Ad word for the business organization. Google Ad
word has a much higher reach and accessibility to it potential viewers as in today`s time
almost everyone has a smart phone with good internet facility. As per the recent official
reports from the Google Company, one of the main revenue-earning sources for the
Google Company is the Google Ad word service.

Todd, the importance of the Google Ad word is discussed in today`s very changing
competitive business scenario. In recent times, putting up in the traditional media like the

organizations. The print media mainly includes the newspapers, magazines (both local
and international) along with distributions of leaflets and pamphlets, putting up of
hooding, billboards and porters. Audio Visual media mainly includes Television and

also talks about the ease of opening up of a Google Ad word account and the importance
of using of relevant a keyword. The use of the Google Ad word would help in gathering

company’s in a 30 second advertisement video (Marshall, Rhodes, and Todd, 2014).
As mentioned in the book, I feel that Google Ad word tool plays an important and
vital role for a business organization or the emerging entrepreneurs in today`s time.
Talking specifically about the effectiveness of the Google Ad word tool, it can be stated
that the Google Ad word works much faster than the Search engine optimization (SEO).
A business organization can gain more customer and visibility with the help of Google
Ad word tool than the Search engine optimization (SEO) as it has a much higher reach
than the other along with simply with the use of multiple keywords. This as I think would
help to increase the awareness and recognition about the business organization among its
target potential customers or consumers. It would help to increase the brand identity and
brand recall value among its potential customer. Since all the people like us in recent
times have an access to G mail accounts especially to access social media like Facebook
Instagram, Twitter, the business organization or new entrepreneurs could connect directly

to their target customers or consumers with the help of Gmail accounts. They could send
information about their products or services or launch of new products or services. I have
a friend who is in to cosmetic selling business. She is promoting her product on the
internet with help of Google Ad platform and social media. She also sends email to her
regular customer and potential customer about the launch of new product and other
details. This is known as the e-mail marketing. The Google Ad word tool as I fell would
help to connect and direct potential customers and consumers to the official websites. My
friend as mentioned earlier would also give her official website on her e-mails thereby
increasing the visitors count and visibility among her customer. In addition, I also think
that the Google Ad word tool would also help to mange or compete with its competitors
in a better way due to its transparency.
I think there are various advantages of the Google Ad word tool as mentioned in
the book for the emerging entrepreneurs in recent times. According to the book, the
Google Ad word tool as a much higher reach and accessibility to its potential audience
than the rest. I fell that the overall cost of setting up and using a Google Ad word tool is
much less and manageable when compared to other means of promotions. The client
strategy for the Google Ad word is that they would only charge for every click by the
potential customers on the official website of the client on the internet. The Google Ad
word tool is also well known for the placing the advertisements of its clients at the right
place and at the right time to be seen by the target customers of the business
organizations. In addition, there are many beginners’ helps tutorials for new business
organization or the emerging entrepreneurs or enthusiast like me present on the internet
in among the various Google Ad word tool.

Just as every coin has two sides, I think there are few disadvantages of the Google
Ad word tool for the emerging entrepreneurs in recent times. The cost per click policy of
the Google Ad word tool at times I think may prove to be misleading. Say for example
not all viewers visiting the official website of the business organization is a potential
customer for the same. Many of the viewers may be a casual surfer on the internet
especially younger kids. Or adult like me may also at times be simply browsing through
the internet without actually buying anything. At time if there is any delay or failure in
the payment of the money by the advertisers, the Google Ad word tool has a policy of
immediately closing down the account of the above-mentioned advertiser. Many of my
friend`s account on the Google Ad word was closed down because of this reason. They
had started new business venture which was not as successful as expected.
In the end, according to me the Google Ad word is just a platform where
emerging entrepreneurs could promote his or her own business. However, the advertiser
itself does the promotional strategies and the content and I feel that should attract more
customers or consumers. In today`s time of stiff competition, the content is the king.
