Introduction
The organizations that operate in the modern and competitive business environment have
to maintain their operations effectively with the help of proper collaboration of different
departments. The various departments that are considered to be a major part of the operations of
the modern organizations include HR, Finance and Marketing. The report will be based on the
analysis of the ways by which an organization is able to maintain its profitability levels with the
proper collaboration of different departments (Leonidou et al. 2018).
Description of HR, Marketing and Finance functions within organizations
HR Department of Google Management of human capital has gained utmost
importance in the 21st century. Google has been able to a huge reputation based on proper
management of human resources who are a part of the organization. The organization has also
aimed at proving that it mainly relies on the innovation based aspect of the business operations
and the development of employee centered culture is also a major aspect of the success Google
has gained (Kianto, Sáenz and Aramburu 2017). HR function is also considered to be a strategic
partner at Google and it is mainly focused on benefits that the core operations are provided based
on hiring and recruitment of the best talent. Human resources have proved to be a major reason
behind the success that has been gained by Google in the technology industry (Google.com
2020). The company provides more importance to abilities in comparison to experience and this
is considered to be a major factor that has improved the human resource management process of
the organization. (Collings, Wood and Szamosi 2018).
Marketing Department of Google – The marketing department of Google has been able
to play a major role in the ways by which the organization aims at maintaining its position in the

strategies of the organization that have helped the organization to reach the customers faster
(Olson et al. 2018).
Finance functions in Google – The current CFO or Chief Financial Officer of Google
Patrick Pichette has been able to play a major role in the development of cash reserves of the
organization. The financial management related activities that are performed by Google are
based on collaboration that is developed between the employees and management of the firm as
well. The CFO has also aimed at maintaining proper levels of communication with the
employees in order to maintain the finances in an effective manner (Wagner and Eggert 2016).
Developing an understanding of the collaborative working practices
