Google is an American company that was founded in 1998, 21 years ago by Larry Page
and Sergey Brin that operates its business across various nation. It deals in various internet
related services such as search engine, cloud computing, online advertising technologies. There
are various factors such as recent technology, size and operation of business, its global presence
and availability of skilled manpower that impact on Google corporate structure and design.
Google organisational culture and ethical values innovation promote growth and success of
google. This report analysis google organisational structure and culture that promote growth of
company in the industry.
Factor impact on Google corporate structure and design
Success of google is directly linked with organisational culture and structure of company
that helps it in gaining leading position among top four technologies company. Google has cross
-functional organisational structure such as function-based and product-based Flatness. Such as
company structure is divided on basis of function performed by each department that is sales,
engineering and design group etc. (Ahammad and et.al., 2016). Whereas also classified

technology is able to collect information regarding each functional and product department.

technology is able to maintain records of performance and productivity of employees. It also
used to plan for training and development to enhance their knowledge and skills of employees

technology helps in effective and quick communication between employees and adaptation to

Therefore, it can be stated that technology helps in effectively coordinate and cooperating among
various department and office that operate in various nation and impact on organisational

Size of presence of organization: Google is one of the leading company in U.S. that have cover
62.5 percent of market share and was valued at 825 billion U.S. Dollars (Homburg, Jozić and
Kuehnl, 2017). Firm has 114,096 employees and operate in various nation so it used flat
organisational structure and design to coordinate function and operation of each office for
achievement of organisational goals. It is also used so that employees of department or office can
interact with each other and top management quickly for gaining competitive advantages in the
industry (Almotawa and Shaari, 2019). It has use wide varieties of services so in order to
provide qualitative and standard services to customers organisational structure is also distributed
on the basis of products and services manufactured. Company needs to perform various function
such as marketing and sales, production , recruitment of people so Google to provide specialized
services has used Functional organisational structure. Thus, it is concluded that organization
structure is impacted by organization size and operation of Google in the market.
Global presence: Google is a multinational company that offers various internet services such as
cloud computing, Artificial intelligence and Advertisements services to its customers. Company
has large presence in global market so it had to adapt to various environment factors in order to
gain competitive advantages (Alalwan, 2018). Thus, company has use function organisation
structure so that activities of different department to be coordinated for achievement of firm
objectives. Such as marketing department identify needs and preference, trends of individual in
the society and research and development department develop innovative product to gain
competitive advantages in particular country. Therefore, it can be stated that organisational
structure is affected by global presence of company and helps in achievement Google in gaining

or cross-functional organisational structure to effectively coordinate work of each individual
towards company goals. Due to large number of employees company has planned flexible and
flatness organisational structure so that employees can directly communicate with their top and
middle level management without any delay. Functional department is also used as large number

belongingness among employees and motivate them to work effectively for achievement of

different individual within firm is able to enhance knowledge and skill of existing employees and
motivate them to work effectively. Company culture is to motivate employees on the basis of
performance of each employee in their previous year thus influence lazy people to increases their
productivity and performance for promotion (Kim, Lee and Cho, 2016). Training offered by
company are also attractive and influencing that motivate people to work effectively. Manager
provide better working environment and build strong relationship among employees so that they

performance. Firm also ensure that it effectively utilize various resource of environment for
safety and security of people living in the society. Thus minimize wastage of resource and cost
of production and helps in enhancing profitability and market share of company.

that is why they have a strong research and development team so that they can make a place for
themselves in market. Knowledge and skills are matching in innovation which is coming in the

made accordingly. Employees feel like they play a very important role and that will make the
company have a better functioning for themselves. Workspace of Google is maintained and
improved over time so that the healthy environment in the organization can be maintained which
is a very important factor for the company which will make the customers get the best services

so that there is a better functioning for them and that will make the company have a better
functioning and quality of the products and services of Google can be maintained. It is very
important for Google to maintain their portfolio in market because they have come a long way,
