Introduction
The report helps in analysing the different kinds of strategies that will help in
managing the entire productivity of the organization along with increasing the
competitiveness of the organization in an effective manner. Employee Engagement is defined
as the workplace kind of approach that assists in right kind of conditions which are suitable
for the different members who will be giving their best and they are committed towards the
goals of the company as well. The employee engagement will help in motivating the different
employees in the organization which will contribute towards the entire success of the
organization.
Overview of Google Company
Google LLC is the American multinational technology organization that mainly
specializes in internet related services and products that even includes different kinds of
advertising technologies. Google was founded in the year 1998 in the month of September
(Google.com, 2018). The founders of Google LLC are Larry Page and Sergey Brin and the
headquarters of the company is located at California, U.S. The areas which are served by
Google are the entire worldwide.
Importance of Employee Engagement
Employee Engagement is essential in the organizations as this will help in improving
the employee productivity along with increasing the profitability in the entire organization.
Furthermore, it has been learnt and seen that better engagement of the different employees
helps in improving the productivity of the organization and this will enhance the entire
profitability of the organization efficiently as well. It has been seen that proper employee
engagement helps in creating alignment between personal values and personal values as well
(Slack, Corlett and Morris 2015).

Strategies Implemented by Google to Engage Employees
There are different strategies which are implemented by Google in order to engage the
different employees. Google is one such company which mainly focuses on the different
needs of the employees and this has helped them in achieving success in the tasks performed
by them as well. It has been analysed and seen that Google LLC has implemented few
strategies for engaging the employees in order to improve the procedures of the engagement
of the employees which will assist them in achieving the different objectives in a positive
manner.
The different strategies which are implemented by Google LLC includes the following:
Engage in rich and regular communication which will help Google in increasing the
employee engagement in an effective manner. The rich communication is essential in nature
and is crucial in nature when it comes to employee engagement and improving the employee
productivity (Bailey et al. 2017). The leading frequent along with meaningful conversations
is both science and art as this motivates the employees to perform at higher levels and this
will increase the profitability of the organization as well.
Identify the internal growth plans is essential which can be adopted by Google LLC
especially career driven plans. This is the basic complaint that is received from the employees
that there is no such growth in the company and this is demotivating their morale as well.
Google needs to combat this by designing internal growth plans which will help the company
in analysing the needs of the employees along with helping them in achieving the same in
each level as well (Anitha 2014).
Recognition of great employee performance with handwritten note as this will help
in engaging the employees and this will increase the mutual trust between the different
employees. It has been seen that the employees complain that they are not being motivated to

perform their tasks (Karanges et al. 2015). Google needs to rate their employees based on
their performance and this will increase the mutual coordination between the employees and
employer in the organization in an effective manner. The feedback needs to be provided
during the annual performance reviews and this will encourage the managers to provide the
subordinates with hand written notes which will help them in expressing their gratitude
towards the performance given by them for the company.
Unifying the experience is the other effective tools which can be analysed and
implemented by Google LLC as this will help in conducting employee engagement survey as
this will assist in finding the different factors which are responsible for engaging the
employees (Eldor and Harpaz 2016). Unifying the experience and problems will help the
respective company in analysing their hard work and there will be implementation of the
feedback channel which is one effective way of communicating the problems along with the
experience in an appropriate manner.
Providing the employees with time off to volunteer which is essential and effective in
nature and this can be adopted by Google as well. Proper staggering of the available
volunteer shifts can be done which will help the employees in meeting the different needs of
the employees and this will boost the morale of the employees in an effective manner as well.
The suggestions of the lower level employees need to be valued by the higher authorities in
the organization as there are times when the lower level employees feel that their suggestions
are not being valued and this will affect their morale and affect the entire productivity in a
negative manner as well (Sharma and Rajput 2017).
Lastly, managing communication is the other effective tool which can be adopted by
Google LLC in which the different managers of the organizations needs to check the entire
process which is performed by the employees as this should not negatively affect the health

of the organization and this will help the company officials to improve the well-being of the
organization effectively as well (Albrecht et al. 2015).

Therefore, this can be concluded that there are different kinds of strategies that can be
adopted by Google LLC in order to improve the employee engagement in their organization.
Google LLC is one such organization that cares about the employee productivity and this
improves the overall profitability of the organization as well. The proper communication is
essential in nature for Google as this will improve the overall business of the company and
this will help in increasing the morale of the employees in an effective manner which is
important in nature.
