Travel and tourism sector is one of the fastest growing
sector in the world. It helps in improving the country
economy as well as its condition. Also it helps in
introducing many job opportunity to local people
because they know well about the place where they
live.

2.1 Functions of government, government sponsored and
international agencies
 This has been noticed that with the vast innovation in technology and other
facilities which are provided by the tour operators it is very necessary that
government interfere in many activities. The government made it feasible for
performing all the activities by the organisation in a proper and appropriate
manner. Government formulate the policies which are in favour of the tourist.
 These policies are made by taking into account according to the number of
visitors. These policies, rules and regulations have to follow by the TUI group
and other tour operators so that unnecessary and cheating activities against
tourist get decline. It enables the tourist to visit to the UK and made their
destination happier. Another important function which government has to
perform is to take ethical activities into their account and promote their
countries destination at the global level. This leads in create their country
popular at international level which further leads in increase the number of
tourist.

 International agencies are also involved in the development of travel and
tourism industry. They are helpful in gathering the data and provide it in
statistical format. This data helps in analysing the trend, flow and growth of
tourism on global basis. The main function of international agency is to
provide appropriate information to government so that they can improve
their quality of destination for tourist. This helps in increase the craze of
visiting to number of destinations by visitors.

2.2 Impact by the local and national economic policy on
travel and tourism industry
 The system for setting interest rates, budget etc. or all the activities in
which the government intervention is found into the economy is
known as the economic policies. These are generally formulated by
the government which helps in the economic growth of a country. The
economic policies are a part of the tourism sector which promotes its
success. It made a great impact on the lifestyle, amenities, region
economy etc.
 These policies made a vast impact on the local condition because if
the policies are made according to a particular place it further
promotes that area growth. One of the major policy by the government
is about destination marketing in which government reveal a separate
fund for this sector.

4.Local government have to take helps from national government in
which they can appeal for their region improvement and
development.
