To determine the exact position of the target.
To keep the size of the device small and compact.
Scope
The scope of the project to analyze the design of a GPS system.
Justification
GPS systems have been getting used in a much higher rate. This section ensures that
acceptance of the GPS system have been getting higher. This ensures the fact that there have
been proper assessing of data regarding developing and implementing the same acts important.
GPS have been getting used in the military services, commerce and scientific research process.
Usage of GPS have also been seen in the medical processing. Hence performing project on this
topic will be acting beneficial for the working process. This includes the fact that there have been
better association of the implementation process. Proper understanding of the OpenCU platform

Literature Review
According to Janwadkar, Bhavar and Kolte (2016), It have been seen that there have a
proper coordination in the tracking system where the GOS coordinates by the GPS module. It
can be stated that there will be a presence of the external microcontroller and the GPS data will
be having a proper sectioning of the data possessed and the sent to the database. The platform
that is used in the process is namely GSM. GPRS and Bluetooth modules. However, it have been
see that there have been high complexity in the process. This ensures that a certain prospect will

process. OpenCPU core system is considered to be a proper combination of the hardware and the
software GSM/GPRS module. The processor that is used in the developing the process is
ARM7EJS. The platform on which the GPS system is developed is Nucleus Operating System
(Uvarov and Klestov 2019). It have been seen that in case of the OpenCPU, proper embedded
development solution is provided in the system and the entire module is designed as a main
processor.
Li, Huang, Jiang, Huang and Chang (2017) stated that there are certain advantages that
are to be included due to the usage of the OpenCPU platform. The advantage includes
simplifying the design of the circuit. Another aspect that is considered in the process is that there
will be a major alteration in the size of the system. With the implementation of the OpenCPU
system, the size of the GPS reduces drastically. It have been seen that the infrastructure of the
circuit also reduces. This ensures that the fact that the assessment of the business process will be
properly arranged in manner that ensures that there is a compactness I the architecture. Another
major benefit that is received in the process is reducing the development time. This reduction of
the development time ensures that there have been a proper assessment of the development time
and the efficiency in the operational process increases. The cost that is incurred in the operational
process also decreases. The power consumption in the process also decreases. This is one of the
main reason that the acceptance of the OpenCPU have been increasing in an exponential manner.
According to Park, Song, Kang, Lee, Seo, Park, Yeo and Park (2019), there are 3 layers
of the OpenCPU system. They are namely the Core System, RIL layer and the Application
Layer. The core system is considered to be a combination of the hardware and the system
software. This includes the assessment of the GSM/GPRS module. The hardware of the core
system includes ARM7EJ-S processor and different peripherals. One of the major example have

been watchdog timer. This system is built over the nucleus operating system. The OpenCPU RIL
layer includes open source layer which is embedded in an API layer. With the help of the API
Layer, calling of the API is performed in a manner. AT commands are used in the process. The
developer can use custom API for performing different functionality. Application Layer: This
layer is considered for performing desired functionality and hence wise calls suitable for API
collaboration with RIL. Firmware is developed for the application layer (Manjunath, Janani and
Pillai 2017). There are 4 major features that are to be considered in the process. The major that is
considered in the process includes the likes of battery operating system. This is to keep the
tracker portable. The systems are generally powered with 3.3 V output. 1100 mAh battery is used
in the process. Emergency SOS switch is used as well. Updated emergency system through SMS
is also considered in the process. Tracker location is also present. This also acts as an important
feature.
Methodology
The methodology that is considered for completion of the research process is secondary
data analysis. In case of secondary data analysis the main aspect that is considered is that there is
collection of data previously Data that are used in the research process is already reserved. In
today’s society usage of the pre-existing data for research purpose have been getting more and
more acceptable. The main reason of this higher acceptance is the lowering of the cost that will
be required in the process (Quinlan et al 2019). It have been seen that the cost that is included in
conducting a secondary data analysis is much lesser in compared to the cost that is incurred in
the primary data collection process. Despite the change in cost incurred in the process, the
accuracy of data that are received are similar to each other. In case of performing secondary data
collection and analysis process, the research proves moves as per the method the researchers

process.
Research questions are also considered in the process. The research questions are
considered as the pathway for the literature collection. Hence developing research questions act
as a major process. This is one of the major aspect that is considered in the process. After this
process identifying of the data sets that will be helping in completion of the research process acts
beneficial. It is considered that the data that are collected are often only from peer reviewed
journals (Sun and Lipsitz 2018). Peer reviewed journals are preferred over other data sets. The
reason of this preference is that the data that are present in the research paper have been highly
authentic in nature. This high authenticity includes the fact that the accuracy of data that are used
in the research process stays high. This ensures that the efficiency of the research process stays
high as well. Another major advantage that is received in the process is that proper referencing of
the data is done. This proper reviewing includes the fact that there will not be any kind of
copyright issues. This elimination of copyright issues increases the usability of the research
related data. Originality of the data is maintained. In this research process, initially qualitative
research is made. With the help of the qualitative research data, basic terminologies that are
important in completion of the project is analyzed (Kumar 2019). A brief understanding of the
topic is also performed. After the qualitative data analysis, quantitative data analysis is
performed. In this process numeric data is collected. This ensures that the preciseness of the data
presented in the research process is maintained.

Conclusion
From the above discussion, the module in the indoor environment is considered to be the
top floor of the GPS architecture. The errors are considered to be less and hence the data that are
gathered by the sensors that use OenCPU are highly accurate in nature. This is one of the major
advantage that is considered. With the help of OpenCPU, the major aspect that is considered is
that different applications have been using the technology. However research and development
