INTRODUCTION
The primary objective of conducting respective project is to identify the role of different
departments of a company i.e. finance, marketing, operations or production as well as human
resource. Along with this, it also include effectiveness when all departments of a company work
together for attaining goal.
MAIN BODY
Purpose/ role of different department
Marketing – The main role of respective department is to promote products and services
so that company able to attract more and more customer which increase sales and profit
(Goodale and et.al., 2020). The Next Plc use innovative and creative strategies and plans
in order to promote their products at the huge market. For this they mainly adopt digital
marketing, social media marketing and many more.
Finance – The primary role of this department is to develop budget, manage finance,
offer financial support to other departments and many more. In respect of Unilever they
are operating their business at the different location so their finance department of head
office as well as of all location develop budget as well as manage finance of firm. They
also develop different sheet and calculation to determine their profit, assets or liabilities
according to which strategies can develop.
Operations/ Production – The main role of this department of a company to ensure that
all process or operations are conducted in proper manner at the workplace, through which
firm attain desire goal successfully. In context of ASDA their operations/ production
department ensure that their production are conducted in proper manner so that they
satisfy customer need successfully.
Human resource – The primary role of respective department is to hire best employees
for the vacant position as well as this department also conduct several other works such
as employees engagement, appraisal, motivation and many more (ERIKSSON and
NYDAHL, 2020). In respect of Marks and Spencer their human resource department are
very effective as they hire best candidate for the position. Moreover respective
department also conduct very effective engagement plans.

Importance of all department together
In a company there are several departments such as finance, operation or production,
marketing as well as human resource as well as these all departments are interrelated with each
other. For example – finance department of an organization offer budget according to which firm
other department conduct their operations such as marketing department develop strategies
according (Yell, Bateman and Shriner, 2020). Moreover, products or operations start process
accordingly so that their will be no wastage of fund, resource or time. Along with this, human
resource department of company ensure man power as well as they also hire employees
according to requirement. The respective department also conduct employees engagement as
well as training and development practices so that desire goal can attain successfully.
CONCLUSION
Through conducting evaluation of above described aspects it is determined that in a
company every department plays several role which aid in attaining the desire goal as well as
objective. In a firm there are several departments such as finance, operation or production,
marketing as well as human resource. In addition to this for a successful business it is also
essential that in an organisation all departments work together as that will leads to
accomplishment of work properly and attainment of goal successfully.
