Human Resource challenge in Hilton hotel
Analysis of the challenge. What business angles were included in this challenge? Consider
marketing, business environment, finance, HR, operations. What did you learn about
businesses?
Challenge I have analysis is lack of Hiring and retaining the staff falls under the
Human resource challenges. Hilton hotel needed the employees at all the fonts whether it is
maintenance, administration ,housekeeping,kitchen as well as front desk. It is also focuses on
the lack of the skills of the education youth of our nations which also gives a major
challenges within the hotel industry (Tattum. and Tattum, 2017).
Skills – Reflect on the skills which you demonstrated through this challenge.
Communication
Throughout the process I have improved my communication skills as
communication is considered as two-way process. Within the challenge I had to
communicate with the guests within written as well as verbal firm by their reviews ad
feedback. Also when going through the challenge, the goal of the hotel is to turn the table
three times per shift as it helps to enhance the communication among the employees
Teamwork
Throughout the challenges when there is a process when the recruiting the staff
members all the team members of the Hilton hotel focuses on their team work by
providing the training to the existing and current employees both. So Mangers of
Hilton hotel delegate the roles and responsibilities to each and every employees and
convey the long term goals of the Hilton hotel (Cottrell,2015).

Time management
My time management skills ca be improved by using the timer on my smartphones to
complete each and evert tasks .Managers of the Hilton hotel puts timer on each
employees' smartphone and delegate task according to the timing.
Business skills and competencies eg presentation skills
Presentation skills within the hotel is improved by the help of interacting the guest members
as well as I can connect the audiences and positively greet them who more positivity than
earlier as I feel hesitation but now through the challenges I learn to improve my
presentation skills.
What do you need to learn from this challenge in terms of your personal development?
In terms of the personal development I learn the communication skills ,team working
as well as time management skills. With the improvement of the communication skill now I
able to communicate the customers more easily as compare to earlier ,it also increase my
personal life as communication plays a major role in my career in future terms also as
communication is the key to win the heat of the guest. I also improved the time management
skills which is crucial to do nay tasks as well as attend meeting for future time. Guests of the
Hilton hotel also like such type of employees who complete their work on time (Tattum. and
Tattum, 2017).
