Analysis of Graduate Challenge: Skills, Challenges, Action Plan

This project analyzes a graduate challenge program designed to enhance skills such as teamwork, communication, and motivation. The student reflects on four challenges: a T-shirt design challenge, a presentation challenge, a hotel service challenge, and a debate challenge. The analysis explores the skills gained from each challenge, including communication, teamwork, time management, and business acumen. The student details how these challenges improved their abilities to communicate, build teams, manage time effectively, and understand business principles. An action plan is then developed to further refine these skills through virtual sessions, participation in activities, and focused skill development over a period of 2 to 3 months. The project concludes by emphasizing the importance of these skills for future career success and the ability to seize opportunities in a competitive environment.

Introduction
Graduate challenge is defined as a program that is organized by different educational
institutions such as universities, schools and colleges in order to enhance skills associated to
teamwork, communication, participation, motivation and so on. I have developed my interest in
extra curricular activities bye taking this challenge. This improve my cultural and social skills as
well. This challenge will help me to express my capabilities common talents and skills in an
effective manner. The respective project is based on four challenges that is apprentice challenge,
presentation challenge, debate challenge and hotel challenge in addition to this there is a
reflection based on the skills which were demonstrated at the time of dealing with challenges. In
the last, an action plan is developed in order to improve the skills for gaining growth and
opportunities in future.

Analysis of challenges
T-shirt challenge
It is a challenge wherein required to develop an innovative and creative design of T-shirt
along with its logo considering in mind which will be promoted and advertise in the market. For
this, I analyse the target customers first and to market T shirt between the target customer, I
examine the current trends and market situations as well. At the time of designing T-shirt, I
undertake the preference is and choice of target customers in order to grab their attention towards
the T-shirt. In addition to this, a predetermined budget was also allotted to me and it is a
challenge for me to perform all the activities of T-shirt challenge within the given budget. The
logo and the T-shirt is made for the brand Angel that will help in gaining eyes of people and
attracting them to purchase it. By this challenge, I improved my communication skills that assist
me to deal with others in a proper manner. It is determined by me that such a challenge develop
business skills, team building skills I need money more that will help me in future to start a new
business in a proper manner.
Presentation challenge

I was given a challenge to present an effective an informative presentation in front of
audiences that need a lot of hard work as well as team book. For preparing the presentation I
required to have good communication, ideas and thoughts of everyone as it declined the chance
of conflicts and misunderstandings of my ideas. In addition to this presentation challenge taught
me to analyse the points that is relevant and knowledgeable for the audiences. This challenge
also assist me to overcome with my fear of speaking in public and develop confidence in me.
Moreover, it also improved my speaking skills, listening skills as well as interaction capabilities
in an appropriate manner.
Hotel challenge
This challenge was about delivering our business entity service to motivate an improved
customer experience. The focus of this challenge is on customer experience and I was supposed
to learn about best manner of providing services within the hotel that is Angel. This silence also
assist me to raise my knowledge level about the needs and preferences, wants of customer. I
realize it that working within the hotel is not an easy task as fulfilling the requirements of
customers requires high time and efforts. It is determined by me that hotel challenge help me to
improve my communication skills, improve my patience level, listening skills that will help me
in my future to grab effective opportunities.
Debate challenge
It is a challenge that is created by University in order to know the idea and thoughts of
different students on the particular topic. This challenge assist in presenting my thoughts on
ideas in front of all the people about specific topic. At the time of debate challenge, I overcome
my fear of putting thoughts in front of others in a proper manner, which is understand by
everyone. Debate challenge assist me to improve my listening abilities, communication skills and
so on. This challenge is a team challenge because of which I am able to learn about team
building skills that will help me to achieve my objectives. Moreover this challenge also aid to
deal with problems and conflict situation in an appropriate and polite manner.

Communication skills
It is considered as one of the most important skills which is required in every individual
as it helps in gaining knowledge and acquiring content without any misinterpretations and false.
At the time of performing this challenges and activities, I was enlightened with the fact that

every business work is managed unperformed with the help of effective communication. It is
learnt by me that an authorized person with good communication skills can lead the overall work
and instruct their subordinates to attain the targets.
Teamwork skills
Under the graduate challenge, I was facilitated with how team spirit and teamwork
improve the overall group project or the process as well. In addition to this I was capable to
inculcate such skills as a part of my day to day routine that enhance my ability to communicate
as well as interact with others. In order to accomplish a target, the Support and participation of
every person who are the part of team is needed. Practicing such skills intensified my team
building skills, coordination skills while focusing on the challenges such as presentation
challenge, debate challenge and many more. Furthermore, I even learned about the significance
of working in a team in order to achieve common objective.
Time management skills
It is important for me to complete the assigned task an activities on a given time. During
these challenges, I learned how to manage all the activities and tasks within the predetermined
time period. This challenge assist me a lot to learn about how different activities are categorized
as per the time. It also assist me in understanding the value of every Single minute. I make use of
time management concept while performing the T-shirt challenge as I have to complete this
challenge within a limited time period. I also make use of this concept during my presentation
challenge as I got limited time to present my thoughts ideas in a proper manner.
Business skills
This challenge assist me to develop business skills and also help me to gain experience as
well as knowledge about the market. In all these challenges, T-shirt challenge Ann hotel
challenge required to analyse and examine the requirements of customer and market trains. Both
these challenges emphasize to undertake the wants, needs and preferences of customer that
further assist in growth and success of an organization. Therefore, this challenge taught me to
emphasize on customer service an experience. In the T-shirt challenge, I have predetermined
budget do to which I learn how to manage activities in less cost and attain more profits from
them. During the presentation challenge and T-shirt challenge, I learned about PowerPoint and
Excel. All this skills will assist me to develop a command on the business skills in an appropriate
manner.

Conclusion
From the above study, I learned about how to initiate an idea and complete it on time. It
made me prepare for my future career and to again best opportunities in this competitive
environment. Challenges such as presentation challenge, debate challenge, T-shirt challenge and
many more improvise my skills that is communication, team building, business, time
management and so on. While preparing for the future plans, this side-by-side assisted me to
intensify the present skills and develop confidence which in turn help me in long run.
