This report provides an analysis of the Graduate Challenge, focusing on the development of key academic and professional skills. INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are the one which an individual learns during its academic journey in school and
universities. These help not only in the personal development but also in the professional
development of an individual. It includes the habits as well as talents which benefits the
academic pursuits like research, learning, presentations as well as report writing. These skills are
applied during the learning of a student so tjat it can become proficient in it and contribute in its
success (Aliu, and Aigbavboa, 2019). It also includes learning from the expertise and knowledge
of a person. The following report will cover An analysis of each challenge which focuses on the
business angle and it will also include a reflection on the skills a person have demonstrated
during the challenges.
TASK
Apprentice Challenge:
At the time when I was studying in the university I encountered with a situation in my
institution naming London School of science and technology ( LLST ). While I was facing this
situation, in order to overcome it I evolutes the various skills:
 Communication skills – It is very essential for me to possess skill of communication. I
have put more efforts in order to develop my this skill and it has assisted me in easy
conversation with my fellow mates as a student. It has also assisted me in overcoming
this problem without any type of difficulty. At the time when I was pursuing my assigned
projects, this skill have supported me in providing all the data and information effectually
to my mates in order to get appropriate clarity in the accomplishment of the task.
 Time management skills – This skill is very much essential at the time of my studying
as it has assisted me in gaining discipline in my professional as well as personal life and
career as I am able to attain my work on given deadline because of the evolution of this
skill.
 Team Work – In accordance to me, team work is very much crucial for me and my team
in order to accomplish my goals and objectives and it also help in discussing the work in
the other team members. This skill have assisted me in delegating the work load to all the
member's equally this has assisted my team in accomplishing our task in required time.
Initially I faced many issues as my team work skill were not up to mark but later utilising

and implementing on several things I completely evaluates this skill and we completed
our task effectively and efficiently with full coordination and cooperation.
 Business skill – This skill is very much essential for the ultimate goal of my professional
career but I was very much hard for me to develop this skill and it includes adaption of
several set of skill and capabilities that have assisted me in overcoming my issues in
development of this skill. Now after adapting this skill I am capable to make effective
and immediate decisions that can assist me in accomplishing my goals in my
professional life and it also helped me in developing my problem solving skill that mainly
supported me in overcoming various difficulties.
Presentation Challenges:
When I was working in the company Tesco Plc, I was assigned a presentation in which I was
capable to communicate with the consumers. In Tesco, it is one of the big company that
specialises in retail and general merchandise. So It was my job to meet the consumers and assist
them with the various services.
 Communication skills – At the time I was working in the firm Tesco, I focused and
developed my skills of communication that has assisted me in giving suitable info
regarding the products and services to the consumers and helped the in solving their
queries. So it has supported me in my over all professional life evolution as I am capable
of overcoming the challenge of presentation with the support of this skill,
 Team work – It is one of the essential skill in the the total career development and in
professional life as I was working in the firm that required team work and at the time
when I was working for the Tesco, I was able to evolute team work skill by coordinating
and assisting my fellow mates in order to clear my doubts as well as the confusion this
skill has supported me in operating with full support.
 Team Management skills – It is very much crucial to manage work and task on time as
when I was working for the company Tesco, in order to accomplish my task and work on
time this skill has supported me a lot. Development of this skill in me is when I was
capable to provide me time in order to give the presentation in which I was easily able to
manage all the consumers who needed the offerings of the company and because of this
skill I can easily overcome my this challenge.

 Business Skills – In the professional career, this skill has an essential part. At the time
when I was working for the company Tesco, I was capable to achieve it with the support
of organisation that involves decision making skills, problem solving skills and several
others.
T shirt Challenge:
I was entrust with the duty to launch a new T shirt that shows the company and its logo.
It has assisted to the evolution of the several that is mentioned below:
 Communication Skills – I was functioning in a firm as I was assigned this opportunity to
launch the t shirt. The communication skill was evolutes by me when I was working on
this skill. As I was operating as marketing division, I need to provide the trend of the
market which is required at the time of development of skills.
 Team work – I developed this skill when I was operating with the team of marketing. I
need to collaborate with several members of the division and operates with them in
accordance to properly accomplish this challenge.
 Time Management Skills – At the time working for this challenge I was capable to
evolute this time management skill as I need to operate in accordance of given deadline
and it has helped me in developing discipline in my functioning as my seniors were very
strict with the time punctuality so I was able to develop it.
 Business Skills – At the time when I was capable to evolute professionalism in me as I
need interact with the consumers and let them to buy the T shirt.
An action plan on how you will develop these skills .
The SMART analysis for the development of the communication skills:
 Specific – The aim is to evolve the skills of the communication skills in order to better
my presentation skills which is beneficial for my long term professional goals.
 Measurable – The target can be evaluated by my productivity and performance in which
I utilised this skill for my future personal as well as professional betterment. This goal
will be measured by way of my participation in various competitions such as debates,
presentations, etc.
 Achievable – I can accomplish this set of skill by pursuing the various diploma courses
as I can effectually and efficiently better and enhance my communication skills.

 Relevant – In order to make sure the authenticity and reliability I need to take various
diploma results and certificates of my courses in order to show the relevancy of
improvement.
 Time frame – I need to have almost 6 to 8 months in order to develop my this skill.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that the evolution in professional life is very much crucial
for a person in accordance to improve and for grabbing various better opportunities in future. In
this report the three challenges have been pursue that has assisted me in evolution of several set
of skills that are time management, communication, team work, business and competency skill.
These skill were effectually used in the organisational functions like finance, operations and
branding. Moreover to this , SMART goal analysis is been done in order to the evolution of the
particular skill of communication that has assisted me in my future betterment of the presentation
skills.

It is an issues which has a purpose to better the skills of communication and also
encourages the groups in order get various ideas.
Presentation Challenges:
It is the method of instructing or communicating the concept to the people so that they can
get the knowledge of the concept by way of speaking and visual ideas.
T shirt Challenge:
It is a challenge wherein a T-shirt is designed with the logo and preparation is done for its
launch.
