MAIN BODY
Kolb's Reflective analysis
Challenge 1: Lack of Motivation
Concrete Experience : My experience of Hotel was very productive for my future goals.
I have learned different skills and concepts of marketing, finance and HR that helped me to
upgrade myself into the correct path. On the other hand, In between the course of Hotel I went
through from my challenges like lack of motivation. Lack of motivation is my biggest challenge
that makes me dissatisfied and unhappy. Lack of motivation degrade my position in the class that
might affects my career in the future (Heiland, 2019).
Reflective Observation of the new Experience : In the programme of Hotel it helps me
to understand the business concepts and their terminologies. I gained plethora of knowledge in
my Hotel Project cycle that gained my skills and knowledge. I gained how I can improve my
challenges and issues in order to handle the uncertainties within the business environment.
During my classes due to lack of motivation my other skills are become unproductive and
inefficient.
Abstract Conceptualization : I learned from my experienced that how team work and
team building helps to gain the self motivation power and how business skills enhanced the
presentation skills as well. I observed that motivation comes from happy environment and by
good peoples. During the whole session of my Hotel Project taught me new skills and ideas that
can help me to reduce my challenges and issues that I need to improve. In order to overcome my
challenges, I decided to work with a team member get suggestions from them, share my

problems or issues with team members so that better guide me for my career options. I came over
from my challenge by the help of new skills and support of my colleagues and team members.
Active Experimentation : It helps to guide the best developing the new working styles
for my future business targets. On the basis of my overall experience that I gained knowledge of
my academic area (Kempen and Kruger, 2019). Overall, I analysed my own experienced and
found out my challenges that indirectly or directly affected my education or career. Afterwords,
my own experienced helped to learn different new competencies and abilities in order to meet
out my future goals. I bring out my new skills by working with team members that helped to gain
leadership skills as well. Overall, experienced was mine gives me both positive and negative
outcomes.
Challenge 2: Time management
Concrete Experience: In my Hotel experience I learned various skills related to
marketing and finance. I found in my experience that I have some strengths and weaknesses with
the help of SWOT analysis. It was my great experience throughout but in between the Hotel I
have faced some difficulties and challenges. The main challenge which I faced was time
management. Time management problem created barrier in front of my success of career. Lack
of time management skills made me dissatisfied at some point and also decreased my
concentration level (Holmefur and et.al., 2018).
Reflective Observation of the new Experience: I observed various things during my
Hotel period. With the help of PESTLE analysis I found that which factors can affect my career
development as like Hospitality industry. Hotel project also take help of this analysis in order to
gain success. I also found that with the help of this I can solve my problems and challenge which
I faced. Due to lack of time management skill I faced another problems during my classes.
Abstract Conceptualization: From my experience I learned various things and I got to
know the importance of having the skills of time management. I observed that time management
skill can be achieved by using calender and removing procrastination. Procrastination and avoid
important tasks was the biggest reason of this challenge. I have also learned the ways of solving
things through my hotel project. I needed to solve this problem in order to gain achievement and
determined goals in my study. For solving this problem I blocked out time in calendar which
always helped me out in identifying that where I spend a lot of time.

Active Experimentation: From my Hotel experience and after identifying my problems
and strengths I made a plan to remove challenges. I analysed that this challenge is becoming
barrier and can also distract me in the future in my career. My experience from Hotel project
helped me out in positive way also as with my experience I learned different competencies and
skills which helped me out on achieving my future goals (Balakrishnan and Gan, 2016). My
education experience gave me both positive & negative outcomes. In positive terms I found that I
possess various skills and from my seniors I learned new innovative things that made me able in
my career. In negative terms I faced some challenges and problems from which I also learned to
ways to overcome that. So overall my experience was good.
CONCLUSION
From the above reflection it has been concluded that students faced various types of
problems by which they lack behind. They also has faced various problems like they feel
unhappy and stressed all the time. They did not focus on their study due to lack of motivation.
For solving these problems they focus on SWOT analysis which helped them in identifying their
strengths and weaknesses. They also found the ways of solving their problems and decreasing
