Read the following scenarios, identify the types of conditional form used in each of the flowing
sentences and just why?
a) A small amount of time for reading suitably challenging books would make a real
difference, if only we all the will to make it happen.
Explanation: The above sentence is in First Conditional Type because maintaining the
rules, the main clause is in future tense and is a result of the ‘if’ clause which is in simple
present tense.
b) Schools should therefore be steering children towards reading a greater number of
