The challenge at hand calls for partnership with different partner organization in tacking the
menace. The problem facing Bantu-Somalis regards education, poverty, and need for jobs. As
such, the partners in this case would include children organization, food relief aid, and education
promoters (Freeman and Barbara 14). In this respect, the organization shall seek support from the
No Kid Hungry Foundation, USAID, and the Save the Children.
The three organizations shall play different roles in tackling the problem at hand. No kid go
hungry shall handle the school feed program, USAID act in empowering the locals with skills
and aid for business setup while the Save the Children shall task itself with advocacy on the need
for education and protecting children from harm as per their respective missions. USAID mission
is to save lives, reduce poverty, help in humanitarian crisis, and governance (Rose, Erin, and
Jared 13), while Save the Children focuses on ensuring education and eliminating harm on
children (Invernizzi 9). No Kid Hungry focus on reducing hunger among children. Thus, the
three shall be proper partners in handling the present challenge.
The partners on the program shall have monthly meetings to ascertain the impact of the three
year program and train handlers on proper implementation of the same. The program shall

Funding
The program calls for a total funding of 12000usd which is to be divided into three

contribute 4000usd towards the family upgrading and empowerment, 4000usd going to the

advocacy campaigns on the need for school yearly. The budget shall cater for a pilot study after
which, with more funds the program shall expand to the rest of the schools.
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
This memorandum of understanding is developed and committed to by and among Lewiston
high school, Save the Children, No Kid Hungry and USAID under their respective national
agency. This MOU is valid from the date last signed and completed by the delegates of the
parties to this commitment. The management bodies of the parties shall remain with full
authorities for not more than 24 months. Either party may end this commitment, with or without
cause after issuance of four weeks written notice that shall be delivered by an official mail to the
address above or by hand.
Lewiston high school will be tasked with the provision of the total numbers of students at the
school during all the time that the MOU will be holding. The school management will be
responsible for time-to-time track reporting of the funds received and their expenditure. No Kid

Hungry assumes full responsibility for costs and expenses LLFP on wages, salaries and other
costs that might be incurred for the program during the timescale above.
USAID shall assume the costs accompanying the community empowerment of parents with
children in the school while Save the Children shall assume costs involving advocacy on the
need for education. All these shall be handled by a joint account for the project where each party
shall sign for the withdrawal and subsequent use of the funds.
For amendments, either party may request changes to this MOU concerning revisions or
modifications that are mutually agreed upon by the listed parties. The changes will be
incorporated into writing and be signed by all parties to be effective
This two page MOU represents the whole and integrated covenant among the parties and
overrides all prior negotiations, agreements, whether written or oral. Lewiston community
Manager (bank) is directed not to agree with parties outside this MOU to transact any functions
of this tripartite covenant without the prior written approval of the listed partners above
In witness of which, the tripartite in this commitment have executed this MOU via their
duly authorized agents certify that they have read, understood and given their consent on the
terms and conditions on the dates set out below. This covenant of this MOU is valid from the
date of the signature last appended to this agreement.
