About Sustainable building:
Sustainable building is an approach which is used
for creating such buildings which are environment
friendly and process of constructing such building is
resource efficient.

Location description:
Following are essential elements of location for green building:
 Provide protection to the quality of air and water.
 Provide protection to natural lands.
EPA Region 10 Seattle is located in Downtown Seattle,
WA and this location is suitable for sustainable building
because it met the above stated criteria.

Challenges faced by green building:
There are number of challenges related to green
building and some of these are stated below:
 Green building face issue related to the funding.
 Green building also face issue related to project
growth (Bilau, n.d.).

Sustainable features:
 LEED: LEED is referred as Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design, and it is the rating
system which is developed for rating green
buildings in the world. LEED actually provides a
framework which ensure healthy, cost efficient,
and environmental friendly construction of
buildings.

 Green Globe: Green globes are considered as a different
approach which mainly provides support to the
improvements which are actually suited for each project.
Owners and facility managers of the building know each
and every aspect of their buildings better than anyone else.
 Energy Star: Building cannot be considered as green if it is
not energy efficient. No building is considered as green
building unless it consumes less energy and generates
fewer greenhouse gas emissions than average (Energy star,
n.d.).

Performance of green building:
There are number of resources which
provide support to the design of more
sustainable buildings, and also for
assessing the performance of these
designs. As the field of sustainable
designs involved there are number of
resources which measure the actual
performances of these designs (CEC,
n.d.).

Personal reviews:
It can be said that, green building is the approach
which is developed by those people who understand
the importance of sustainability, and it does not has
bad impact on the environment like any other
average building.

Conclusion:
After considering the above facts, it can be said that
green building concept is the good and significant
approach which must be adopted before conducting
any construction. This approach is ideal in nature
and protects the environment from harmful effects
of the construction.
