environment friendly technology. The green information technology is
mostly concerned with the practicing of environment friendly computing
system. The main motto of the green information technology is to reduce
the overall impact of the technology on the environment. In order to
minimize the effect of information technology the designing, operation,
manufacturing, disposing and operation of the computer and its related
product must be done in ways, which are environmental friendly. The idea
of the green information technology emerged in the year 1992 (Zhu et al.,
2015). The green IT comprises of different concepts which are related to
the process of green networking, cloud computing and virtualization. With
the benefit of the green technology, the natural resources can be
preserved and the energy consumed is less. The green IT improves the
methods in which computing associated devices can be used. Various
advantages are offered with the use of green computing. The green
technology is sustainable which means it is improving on a daily basis for
improving the standard of our living and without causing environmental
damages. The report emphasis upon the green technology, which deals in
improving the environment. The report discusses about the benefits of
green information technology, the reason behind using the green IT, the
activities, which are done by the organization in transferring the entire
process of computing environment friendly, and the methods to eliminate

fourth pillar deals with the energy harvesting. It is one of the important
pillar associated with the green information technology. The method of
energy harvesting means dealing with innovative ideas that can be used
for the extraction of useful energies. However, it provides energy
efficiency, which is cost effective. When an organization thinks of using
the green information technology it aims in reducing the overall growth
rate of energy consumption and helps in increasing the development of
the organization economically. The use of green IT contribute in the
economy of the nation. It also guarantees that the development made is
