analysis and the skills have been discussed in detail. The innovations in the work place which
improves the efficiency in a great way. The online portal has been completed along with the
discussions on communication skill and teamwork. The analytical knowledge and the power
of the critical thinkers are so high that they produce great results. They will convergent the

Introduction
This assessment task requires entering the world of work. It will result in a completed
professional portfolio. This portfolio thus can be used in order to obtain work in the future.
The good writer must also need to understand the expectation of the reader. What the
readers are expecting, how much of the content must be added and what kind of
information do people like in the situation. The special themes and words must be
translated into the simpler context for the readers understand the content. The importance
of team work and critical thinking among the management group were elaborated. The

Written Activity
Question 1: The modern workplace requires staff that has excellent written and oral
communication skills. Why?
The written skills are required in any era to excel in an organisation. The written
communication has three basic rules of improvement. They are structure, style and the
content. The structure is how the content is arranged. The style is how you are writing.
Content is the data what you are writing about. The sentence structuring will help us to
express something in a very clear manner in any application like a resume, essay writing or a

letter (Steinfield, Ellison & Lampe, 2008). We must clarify the purpose of writing the data. If
the data is clearly present the purpose of the work is survived. Generally, the business
communication requires more clarity. Always need to identify the important things. The
theme must be very clear and the key points must be addressed. The logical thinking also
required for presenting something. The logical order is very important in the written script.
One must need to compose strong starting points and the better ending. The starting point
will create the first impression your work or presentation (Wang & Bozionelos, 2007). One
must get a good impression and make people to read them. The conclusion also should be
very strong enough to justify and support your work.
STAR Analysis
After reading all the things the people want to know the theme and this can be understood
only with the conclusion part. The other key areas are the small sentence or paragraphs.
The small paragraphs will convey the message more effectively than the longer paragraphs.
The longer sentences should be always avoided for the best impression and for better
communication (Wang, 2013). The sub headings and key points like bullets must be included
for the reader to scan the work.
Question 2: Why is teamwork is a valuable in workplace skill?
The team work is a very important aspect of today's work culture. It is very important to
include the team work in your approach in your organisation. Not all of the things can be
done by one person. The work must be distributed and done in a faster time to complete it.
It's the role of the leader to identify the strengths of the individual in the team and assign
the work. He should not assign the opposite works. He can make improve the skills which an
individual lags. But he should not discourage the individual. Hence the role of the leader is
more important to the team rather than the boss. There are certain ways the team work
should be implemented (Junco, 2013). Dividing the work according to the strength is a good
idea. One has to accept the work given by the leader to complete the task. The individual
also must participate in the work given by the team leader and help other team members.

When you are not understanding a certain task you must seek help from the others and
participate actively to complete the task in time. Ne has to work hard and loud to show his
skills on the team to perform best. The hardworking nature improves your position in your
team and you can help the other people. The team work also gives the opportunity to share
the things (Ryan & Xenos, 2011). It not only allows you to share the work but also your
ideas. You must share the work with others for the sake of the team. If you have a
prototype, you can share with others to get the suggestion from them to improvise the
prototype or make a good model. If you are hiding things from the members of the team it
may not help you.
STAR Analysis
The goal specification is one of the best quality to be specific in the area of the work. The
goals have to be monitored from time to time as they may change with some circumstances.
The conflict management is the other thing which has to be handled very safely. There
should not be any conflicts in the team and should be sorted out regularly. The competition
in the team work is so good that everyone tries to prove themselves and improves the
others also.
Question 3: Explain about critical thinking. Why managers would want you to have this
skill.
The critical thinking is very important in the modern day environment as the competition is
very high in all the areas. The critical and lateral thinking improves the problem-solving skills
and good analysis powers. This is very important in present work to think dynamically rather
than being calm. The decision making also becomes a part of you and one must take a
decision early in the problem. The overall job performance is also improved as you are
thinking in a very professional way. The information presented and using the available
resource with time increase (Archer & Davison, 2008). The creativity of the person will
increase in a good direction. The job knowledge also improves with the time. The person
with better critical thinking will help them to go high in the organisation. Some of the key
things for the critical thinking are: Recognize the assumption, evaluate arguments and draw

the conclusions. Logic is a most basic thing in the critical thinking. The logical way of thinking
or analysing will improves the critical thinking. The person should have an open mind to see
the possibilities and threats without being biased to a single person or idea. He can see the
possible things to happen. The curiosity is also necessary for the critical thinking person.
Then only he can learn the new skills and practices (Benson, Filipinos & Morgan, 2010).
STAR Analysis
The adaptation is one of the finest ways to achieve something. It is not strong who survives
but the person who adopts faster can survive in all cases. The collaboration is also a must
thing. The critical thinking will bring the new ideas to the work. The new options can be
found on the existing ideas can be promoted. The lower critical thinking cause many big
problems. Hence one must improve the critical thinking skills. The critical thinking will also
improve the leadership skills. This is a kind of quick learning will solve many problems.
Conclusion
The good writer must also need to understand the expectation of the reader. What the
readers are expecting, how much of the content must be added and what kind of
information do people like in the situation. The special themes and words must be
translated into the simpler context for the readers understand the content. The style of
writing must be neat and elegant. Use good and legitimate style for the presentation of any
work. One has to follow the standard fonts and styles. The data should be simple and
understandable for the people with the lucid way and common terms. If you are presenting
some scientific data the common man should be your target as he is out of your field. You
must need to include less scientific words to attract him.
