The building industry plays a vital role in any economy. Sustainable building approaches have a
high capability to make an effective contribution to sustainable development. So, in accordance
with this entire concept, I decided the title and subject for my project is “Managing ground
water-dewatering and groundwater control in construction site”. In most of the scenarios, the
project can be affected by the groundwater due to the excavation, which is occurring below the
water table (GOLINIA, et al., 2015). Due to this problem, the function, design all facilities are
affected and because of this, the cost also changes which is a very major factor. The good
sustainable design provides a low cost for delivering the buildings and provides an attractive
design of the buildings for the business and society.
The frequent issues between the owner and the contractor are occurring due to the groundwater.
Dewatering may be harmful in so many cases for humans as well as for the environment. It also
creates problems between the humans in which third-party litigation is involved sometimes and
also damaged the nearby properties. Groundwater-related activities are regulated in so many
areas. In some cases, the authorities need some special procedures which would be so costly for
them.
Physical execution helps in to achieve the control of groundwater like, pumping from the wells
in which the groundwater is intercepted before reachingto the point of the excavation. In the case
of coarse-grained or open soil whose permeability is so high, physical cut off methods should be
used instead of the pumped well-watering dewatering system.
The cost factor depends on the design, planning and permitting cost of the environment. It also
depends on the equipment-based mobilization and demobilization which includes the WellPoint
deep well, installation cost, etc.

It is considered as the lower part of the construction which is used for the transmission of dead
load and many different loads. The superstructure is the part that is entirely above to its
basement.
Landscape: the landscape is considered as the main component of the specifications. It includes
the line, form, texture, tools, etc. in which the unity is gain by using these specifications very
efficiently so that the resultant is found in the desired landscape.
Fixtures and fittings: there is no particular definition is generate for the fitting and fixtures but
it can be said that fittings are referred as the constituents which are used the different-different
things and fitting are considered as the components which are not attached to other element but
they are used to attach the element like the screw and nail.
Finishing: Finishing is considered as the last step of any project or any construction. Finishing
includes texture, size, etc.
