Introduction
Group Dynamics is a system of behaviour or psychological processes which is occurring
within a group of people. The process refers to the nature of groups, interrelation with the
other groups and large institute. The process helps to take the right and effective decision
related to the organisation. It is used by the organisation for problem-solving, teamwork and
in order to become innovative and productive. In this report, the case study will be discussed
on the basis of the group dynamic. The three departments are merged such as facility
management, acquisition and transport services.
Impact of Dynamic of Group
Positive Aspects
Effective decision-
The decision that the group of people is taken is more effective as compare to the decision of
a single person as the different people have their own different points.
Coordination
Dynamic Group has more coordination as compared to the others and the unity among these
people helps to take the decision easily. According to the case study, the present in the
leadership team was a style that describes the personality of an individual such as helping
each other’s, easily decision making and many others. (Stanford, 2018)

The conflict arises among the group of people due to the different perspective of people. A
different point of view affects the performance of employees (Hwang, Chen, Cho, and
Nyang, 2015). As per the case study, the conflict arises between the facilities and acquisitions
manager. The cultural issue also arises due to the different perspective of the people towards
the single approach.
Theories
Group dynamic theory defines that the employees have a different perspective and also
provide the group information
Social Exchange Theory-
An individual builds a strong relationship between the members which is based on mutual
benefits with the trust and obligations. As per the case study, it is observed that the managers
fail in gathering the team to work together.
Social Identity Theory-
This theory suggests that the individual have a sense of identity and self-esteem that is based
upon their membership. In the case study, it has been observed that the staff appeared
concerned about the review of saying the new things (Boyland, Mlynski, James, Brent, and
Croft, 2016)
Tuckman’s Theory-
This theory states the five stages of group development and these are Forming, Storming,
Norming, Performing, and Adjourning. These steps develop the personality of a member in
order to address several issues. By applying this theory in the case study, it is observed that

the organisation face the problem of motivation due to which it is difficult to develop the

Strategies- for boosting the team dynamics
The leader of the team has to build a dynamic group in order to take an effective decision by
following the step:
Conduct a diagnosis
Address problem quickly
Create a team charter
Enhance team culture
Build Communication
Always Pay Attention
It has been seen that the leader has to implement the leadership style so that the team perform
its services very well (Boyland, Mlynski, James, Brent, and Croft, 2016)
Recommendation
As per the case study, it has been seen that there is huge motivation is required to motivate
the team so that they perform well in their performances. It is recommended that the leader
has to follow the strategies in order to improve team performance. Addressing the issues of
people helps to reduce the conflict (Manage, 2018).
In the case study, it is observed that the employees of the organisation face many issues as
there is no activities are organised for their refreshment. The employees are highly stressed,
defensive and emotional due to which they do not perform well in their performances. It is

recommended that Pay Attention strategy helps the leader to focus on the development of
member so that they perform well in their performances.
Conclusion
From the above analysis, it has been seen that the dynamic group has both perspectives such
as negative and positive. The negative aspect effects of the dynamic group in the organisation
are high due to which the performance of an employee is diminished. It is recommended that
the organisation has to pay attention to the employees and also adopt the leadership style in
order to improve their performances.
