INTRODUCTION
Group presentation is presenting views as working in a team upon common topic
which could be discussed and evaluated so that it is understood in clear sense. Within
this reflective essay strategies and process of group presentation will be identified and
critically evaluated.
REFLECTIVE ESSAY
Process of group presentation
The presentation which I and my team had presented including the topic was
based on particular process laying down what strategies need to be adopted. The
process of presentation started after identifying topic on which we will be talking
throughout (Freeman, 2015). I have learnt that all members who are having their
specified quality should be given the work according to that only.
Identification of topic- this is the most important part which would be including what
the topic would be and why the topic is been selected. It is important to have area or
topic of research on which further presentation could be made and that must be suitable
or easy as well.
Dividing task- this is also essential part which includes dividing up of all task and
working according to capabilities of team members.
Data collection- the information that will be included within the context of presentation
must be collected from valid sources. This is the most important work which I need to do
so my knowledge and skills in respect of topic.
Making of presentation- this will be actually conducting or making up of presentation
this is a group task down by all the members of team.
Presenting it- this is the last step in process which is presenting the presentation in
front of our lecturer so that it could be approved.
Identification and critically evaluating strategies used
The strategies which are used within this group presentation will be related to
team working and organisation of task so that it could be completed on timely bases.
Within this presentation of work I and my team have applied the 9 team role model of
Belbin so that we could be doing our work in proper manner (Harris and Sherblom,
2018). This role model will be then based on what skill or capability each team member

is having in order to divide the working based on that. This strategy which is used
should be correctly underpinning the actual need for presentation based on what topic
we are including within. The Belbin 9 team role model will be describing what each one
has to do like who will be planning out all things and who will be leading whole team.
This will be helping us to easily correlate all activities that a team or group should be
doing and working according to set standard. The Belbin 9 team role model will be used
to divide the working of team which members should be doing according to role which
they are playing. Like there are 9 team role within this model and all of them are having
their own skills and capabilities which make them different from others in team.
Addressing areas of development
The whole presentation was very good but still that lack coordination among all
team mates which need to be improved. The coordination or direction which is included
within this making and conducting of presentation was not good enough so this area is
identified which should be developed. The area of development which is lack of
direction will be requiring to have a good and effective team leader who will be handling
and managing all members and allotting them with task.
Team leader will be strong part of team who will be responsible to complete the
whole work and resolving up of conflicts among us all. As the arising conflict is another
issue which I thought that our team is facing so this will also be resolved after we have
been assigned with a leader (Barry, 2012). The areas of develop should be addressed
in proper manner only after we are having a leader to lead and guide us all. It is
important that all group members are accepting the leader so all of them recommended
that I should be the leader who is guiding them all in future presentations.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded that group presentation is having specified process which we
should be following so that results are better and up to the mark as well. The strategy
which is used within this presentation is that related to Belbin 9 role model and lack of
coordination and management is one of the main issues which arise within this project.
