therefore many companies started to include diversity training in the 1960s which was as a response to civil
rights movement. It was a major step for the foundation of the black and white race equality in professional
fields like in sports or at the workplace. Moreover other than the factor of skin colour, diversity training also
includes gender, race religion, caste and even disabilities. It can also be stated that people may show the aspects
on diversity on the basis or personality, whether the person is an introvert or an extrovert. Even personal traits
like attitude, values, willpower can be included in the diversity management. When implementing these factors,
a company considers each and every of the following aspects while creating project teams. If in a team, all the
members do take the respective approaches towards work and be on the same page then it could be an
imbalanced team and the team will be successful. The management uses the method of awareness based training
to make the employees aware about the need and importance of a diversified workplace also they make an
employee aware about the prejudice and cultural assumptions about the rest of the employees. These trainings
may be conducted as slideshows, lectures or e-learning courses. However nowadays, some companies have
implemented the method of interactive games and role plays as a medium of spreading awareness.
Action Steps
These are related to milestones. What do we need to do to make sure that milestones are reached? Who is
responsible for each action step?
Due to focus on bias reductions, many workplace diversity programs have shown increase in hostilities within
the employees. It is also found out that many of the diversity training are intended towards toward the managers
or the higher ups. This is because the previous researches show that the benefits of recruiting in diverse groups in
terms of race and gender for training and recruiting from all the levels of the organization. The lack of diversity
and inclusion in a workplace can happen because of personal decisions of the management. It is known that the
most successful workplaces with the presence of diversified programs are the ones which have high amount of
engagement and accountability, like diversified manager and monitoring programs and even the involvement of
the task force. There is also no fixed size for curriculum of the work environment diversities. Each and every
company has different needs therefore facilitators are very flexible in their content and structure.

Communication and Work Strategies
How will our group communicate (e.g., email, Skype, meetings on campus)? When and how will our group meet
(e.g., tutorials, chat rooms, meetings, etc.)? What will work for everyone in the group?
Social media is an important aspect of everyday life and thought the means of social media, it would be easier to
convey messages and educational information which is related to diversity training. Social media is not only
important in conveying messages but also in the process of awareness because it can spread the information is a
matter of minutes.
Accountability Processes
We have allocated tasks and established deadlines and expectations. How will we ensure that group members
stay accountable? What are the consequences for not delivering tasks on time?
To make the group members accountable, target should be set and they should be trained on how to work
efficiently and effectively. Team based work should be conducted so that it would be easier for the organization
to achieve its goal. For not delivering the tasks on time firs the employees should be educated and trained
properly so that they do not miss any further deadline, but if it becomes a habit then penalty should be
implemented.
Decision-making Processes
How will our group make decisions (e.g., consensus, majority rule, etc.)? Which decisions will involve all group
members and which can be made by a single person?
Group decision-making takes the advantage of the diverse strengths and expertise of the members present. By
tapping the unique qualities of the various group members, it is possible that the group can generate a greater
