INTRODUCTION
This reflection report is going to show about the importance of team or group
working in the context of analysing micro and macro environment (Pelto, 2019). It will
also discuss about strengths, weaknesses and challenges that an individual face while
working in a group as a team. They learn new things and the way of working effectively
in groups.
Reflective report
Role and tasks played in group working
In the context of group working on the project of analysing macro and micro
factors I can say that I supported the group members in making them understand the
importance of using analysing tools. I knew that PESTLE analysis and Porter's 5 force
analysis model can be used for analysing environmental factors (Rastogi and Trivedi,
2016). I did not have the knowledge that how to use these factors so by researching and
making an effective use of internet and views of all group members we completed the
task.
I knew that all environmental factors like political, economic and social depends
on the country and their current situation. Different country has different political stability
and instability so I made all members understand about it. I gathered and researched
information’s about micro and macro factors and how they can impact on transportation
industry. I helped each member and supported them by doing all those things in which I
was able and have knowledge.

In the context of strengths, I can say that team working, time management,
decision-making, research and development and knowledge to access on internet skills
helped me out in making the project effective and successful. In the context of team
working, it can be said that with the help of different skills of different people and group
member, a project can be made effectively. It can also be said that 2 or more than 2
people can perform better than one for solving any type of problem and completing off
difficult tasks along with increasing creativity.
I am good in Time management and problem solving skills and these skills
worked as my main strengths while working in a team. At the time of selecting team
leader and team manager we faced several problems but this problem solving skills
supported me at that time and we selected our team leader by casting votes (Suor and
et.al., 2017). Team working allows brainstorming and increased collaboration as a result
more ideas were developed and productivity improves. In our team everyone had
unique, different skills, experience and background who helped all of us in seeing the
same thing from a different angle and perspectives. Other main benefit and strength of
working in a team is all members take responsibility for the task and failure and success
of project.
All members have different views and opinion and when it comes to make a
decision then it becomes easier to make a final decision that is agreed by all in an
effective manner (Murray and et.al., 2018). All members tried to consider opinion of all
members in the process of decision-making. My motivating and flexibility skills and
adapting any type of changes, helped me out in the process of decision making.

Influencing skills and By focusing on developing strong collaboration among all
members and by encouraging individual personality we made this project successful.
Difficulties
In the context of difficulties we have not faced any difficulty while working in a
group on the topic of identifying micro and macro environmental factors and their impact
on the company's process and performance.
Importance of working in a group
I can say that I learned so many new things while working in a group on the
same project. Working in a group has some advantages and disadvantages but if all
members have the ability to cooperate and motivate each other then they can solve any
type of problem (Harker, Mahar and Wilkes, 2016). I learned so many new things while
working in an effective group on the project of analysing macro and micro factors. I
knew that PESTLE and Porter's 5 forces analysis tool are being used but I did not have
proper knowledge of way of using that tools. I learned the way of solving problems and
importance of motivation for accomplishing pre-determined goals and completing tasks
efficiently.
By working in a group I learned the way of using and implementing both tools and
their critical impacts on the business. I also learned that working in a team can save
time of completing a project rather than working individually. When individuals work in
an effective team and a group then they share their views and knowledge which they
can not learn individually (Foulkes, 2018). There are some skills which we can learn
only from people not from internet such as importance of communication, way of
interacting, importance of encouraging healthy risk taking, motivation etc. We never felt
members and by encouraging individual personality we made this project successful.

bored and work gets continued even after getting sick of any member of a team, so it
can be said that there are several benefits of working in a team rather than working
individually.
As we all know that Misunderstanding creates conflicts among team members by
which all members can get disturbed and frustrated. It can hamper project and tasks for
some time but by cooperating each other’s working in a group we made this project
successful. At the time of nominating someone in order to act as a manager and a
leader for the team meeting, we selected the best leader by considering all factors and
strengths. This nomination process took too much time but with the help of votes of
majority, we took decision and selected team leader and a manager (Siu, Maran and
Paterson-Brown, 2016).
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarized that team working played a vital
role while performing any type of task. Working in a team give several learning
opportunities to all group members. It has also shown that working in a team and group
create some challenges and problems that is addressed by using different skills of
group members.
