INTRODUCTION
The aspect of curiosity is concerned with the intrinsic motivation which has great
potential in order to increase the learning of a student. Students use as well as develop
competencies when they encounter challenging or unfamiliar circumstances. Competencies
provide assistance to students in drawing as well as building on what they understand and can do
along with how they think. This report is based on a student guide in order to being curious as
well as competent (Clark, Harbaugh and Seider, 2019). In relation to this, core skills will be
identify which have found easy or difficult along with an explanation that describes why they are
easy or difficult. Moreover, there will also be a description on the process that will help in
studying differently for remainder of semester.

Core study skills that have found easy or difficult during semester and explanation regarding
why these are found easy or difficult
Study skills are those skills that help in tackling the procedures of arranging as well as
gaining new information, dealing with the assessments along with the process of retaining the
information. Effective study skills helps an individual in enhancing its level of confidence, self-
esteem and competence. It also facilitate in reducing the anxiety or stress of a student regarding
the tests and deadlines. By evolving effective study skill, a learner may be able to reduce wastage
of time within the study and saving more time for the other things that are important within the
life. From the given module, the core study skills that I have found difficult during the semester
was time management and stress management skills. Time management is considered as a
process of arranging as well as planning regarding how to divide the time among various
activities. Stress management is a kind of technique and program that are intended for facilitating
people in order to deal with stress in a more effective manner within their lives through taking
favourable actions as well as analysing particular stressors for reducing their effects. Both of
these core study skills were difficult for me during the whole semester (Pöntinen and Räty-
Záborszky, 2020). In context to time management skills, this kind of study skill was difficult for
me as I was not able to manage my daily routine activities, study time, proper time to a particular
subject and many more. And due to which, I was lacking in my study and was not able to clear
the concepts of my different subjects. In context to stress management skills, I became short-

tempered when I was not able to accomplish the task on time, getting excessive homework, got
demotivated and many others. In such way, these are the two core study skills that I have found
was difficult for me during the semester. By lacking in these two study skills, I was demotivated
towards my study and was not able to concentrate on my learning.
An explanation of processes that will help in studying differently for remainder of semester
There are various processes and methods through which I can improve my time
management skills and skills management skills (Rosnes and Rossland, 2018). The improvement
in these skills will help me in studying differently for the remainder of semester. There are also
other approaches available that will provide assistance to me in studying differently for the
remainder of the semester. These approaches include Gantt Charts, Mind mapping, setting
boundaries, relaxing standards, etc. such different methods and approaches will help me in
studying differently during the remainder semester.
First of all, in order to study in a different way during the remainder semester, I have to
improve my core study skills such as time management skills and stress management skills. Then
only, I can study in a better way during the remainder semester. After evolving these skills
within me, I will take the help of different methods and approaches like Gantt Chart, Mind
Mapping, Gibbs Reflective Cycle, etc. that would help me in studying in a different way. For
improving time management skills within me, I will make a timetable that will facilitate me in
managing my daily routine activities, study time, family time, entertaining time and many more.
In the process of preparing the timetable, I will give a specific time to each particular subject of
my study so that I can concentrate on multiple subjects within a day. This will help me in
evaluating that in which subjects I need more time and efforts to clear the concepts. In such a
way, I will improve my time management skills that will further assist me in studying differently
during the remainder semester. Another method is Gantt Chart which is very useful in order to
plan as well a schedule the projects or activities (Swank and Houseknecht, 2019). It will help me
in assessing that how long a particular task should take time, determining the resources that are
required to accomplish the task and along with it, planning the order in which I will complete my
task. This kind of learning tool will help me in managing the reliability among the tasks. In order
to reduce the stress, I will keep a minimalist, soothing study area which is free of disturbance as
well as clutter. This will greatly facilitate me in lowering the level of my stress, saving time as
well as keeping me concentrated towards my study for the remainder semester. All these

From above explanation of the report, it has been concluded that encouraging the students

faced there during the semester. In order to solve out these difficulties, multiple approaches and
methods have been taken into consideration such as Gantt Charts, Timetables, Mind Mapping,
etc. This will help in enhancing the overall efficiency through improving the different study
skills and getting learning of various methods.
