Response to question 1:
The owner of the factory has decided to prepare electric guitars and moreover he has
decided to produce his own guitars. The owner does not wish to produce guitars for the mass but
rather wants to produce good quality guitars that will exist for years. Therefore the production
process that will be used is job shop in order to produce customized products (Trojanowska,
Varela & Machado, 2017). According to me the job shop should only be used such that they can
produce quality products that will meet the needs of the customers.
Response to question 2:
Software will be needed to keep a record of all everything and coordinate them. The
company will be collecting the parts supplied by the suppliers, and various manufacturing
activities will be carried out in the organization and therefore it requires the use of some
technology to ensure that everything is carried out appropriately.
Response to question 3:
A qualitative approach for measuring the employee’s performance will be used. Since
the company is a customer centric company therefore the feedback from customers can be used
as a performance measurement system for the organization (Parida et al., 2015).
Response to question 4:
The company has decided to carry out customized packaging and paint option for a
higher price for its guitars. These activities of painting and others will be done in-house and
these guitars will be sold through the company website. It is his goal to sell three main models of
5 different colors.
