Introduction
The following essay will be based on the social evil of gun control. The impact of using
the gun in the different institutions has been very fatal over the past few years. The use of guns in
schools by young people has been a regular issue. Some articles will be reviewed in the light if
this topic.
Review of articles
The name of the first article is ‘Obama anti-gun?No, anti-gun control’.1 The first article
focuses on the implementation of the anti-gun control laws in USA by the Obama led
government. Many of the gun owner associations in the country often gave Barrack Obama the
title of ‘committed anti-gunner’. Barrack Obama was in favor of letting the statesmen use their
different types of guns like the shotgun, rifle and handgun.2 The experts have believed that
President Obama had been somewhat less than being honest. He had produced some important
laws in preventing the use of the firearms for the common people within the country. However,
he also had made some important changes that had made the gun rights supporters jubilant
enough.3

However, the gun control should have been control for the sake of security for the
common people of the country. Obama did not even put much importance on the ‘assault
weapons’ ban signed by the former President Bill Clinton. Obama has been thinking about the
political issues that might have the most significant impact on their vote bank.4 He was very
much aware of the fact if he banned the use of guns, all the Republicans would have rejected
him. The Second Amendment Rights have been very much the talking point behind not banning
the use of guns.5
The second article is ‘Senator to renew gun control push after California shooting
spree’.6 This article has discussed about the gun control policies in California after the upsurge
of the gun shooting activities in schools. The Connecticut school massacre incident in 2012 was
the reason to see after the legislation regarding the gun control in the country. The Senator
Richard Blumenthal had said that all kinds of the violence activities could not be controlled by
the gun control legislations.7 The fact of Elliot Rodger could be taken into the account for the

betterment of the situation in the country. The use of guns should be controlled properly as well.
The students should not be permitted to use the guns. The mass killing of school children in the
Sandy Hook Elementary School also raised the concern of the Government. If the legislation is
made stronger it would have given a better chance to interfere into the matters and provide a
better chance for the government.
Conclusion
The conclusion to this essay can be drawn by saying that the evil of gun control should
begin immediately because it is about securing the basic rights of the common people. This
should be done irrespective of all the political issues. The legislation should be made
strengthened to ensure that no killing can take place.
