insight helpful for decision making. The aim of the research was to conduct depth analysis on the
interest of the participant of a new gym established by the international sporting company.
2. My reflection and experience
This research has helped gain much experience on different methods and tools of data analysis
and how to come up with a better insight from the analyzed data.
Descriptive Statistics
I conducted descriptive analysis with aim of obtaining information on the time the customers
who attend the gym session. From the analysis, we will discuss the customers' interest in a gym
session. Here is the data set that we obtained from sampled 98 customers. We used a frequency
table to summarize the data as seen below.
Table 1

Frequency (number of customers)
Frequency (number of
customers)
Generally, the average time that the customers took in the gym was 123.3 minutes. Therefore, we
can say that the average time that we should expect a client in the gym is about 123.3 minutes.
The middle time (median) taken by the customers was found to be 121 minutes. The standard
deviation (coefficient of variation) was obtained to be 40.09 which are a bit far from the mean.
We can say that there was a big variation of the data set and the variation skewed to be left since
the standard variation is less than the mean value.
