UNIT 4 DISCUSSION 2
After completing the Jung Typology Test, my four unique letters for personality
identification were ISTJ which stand for Introverted, Sensing, Thinking and Judging. Individuals
with ISTJ personality tent to spent time alone and isolated from other people usually focus on
details, logic, and facts other than concepts and ideas, makes decisions based on reasons and plan
things other than doing flexible and spontaneous activities(Briggs, 2015). Besides, such ISTJ
individuals are usually calm, cautious, stable, convectional and prefer working environments
where rules and regulations are strictly followed(Budakoglu, Karabacak, Coskun, & Karabacak,
2014). From the above, I agree with the ISTJ personality characters as I prefer cool and calm
environments, using logic in decision-making and act on planned activities.
The most common careers pursued by ISTJ individuals include financial mangers, bank
officer, small business operatives and administrative managers. This is because individuals with
ISTJ personality takes specifications, and deadlines seriously and they work systematically and
independently on the work they are assigned(Briggs, 2015). Other than that, ISTJ personality
individuals are often reliable and meticulous that they value fluent and stable work
environments. Other careers that fit individuals with ISTJ personality include actuary,
management, architecture and engineering, life, physical and social sciences, agricultural worker,
installation, maintenance and repair careers, and most of the healthcare-related careers like
dentist, pharmacist, and physician(Budakoglu et al., 2014). From the above list, I am constantly
interested in health administration and operating my small business.
There are various benefits of working with ISTJ individuals which include a dedication to
work at hand, responsibility, and commitment, normally use wide knowledge to solve issues thus
little chances for errors, and they can remain calm during emergencies(Budakoglu et al., 2014).
However, working with people ISTJ personality individuals may have various challenges such as
