A sneaky look into the mesmerizing Whitsundays in Queensland Australia
It is a great privilege to share about the bits and pieces of the Whitesunday Island.
Beyond doubt, it is one of the most beautiful, refreshing and adventurous tourism spot. However
I thought of writing amount one of the many striking features that caught my eyes during my last
visit to this land of wonders. Eco resorts are one of the most exquisite places that the tourists
must visit. This is because eco resorts are responsible for generating employment to the local
people and at the same time they give a pristine experience to the visitors as well.
The main reason for highlighting about the eco resorts is to make the visitors aware about
the good points of staying within a eco resort. This will help in supporting the local community.
As tourists it is the duty of all of us to make sure that a certain portion of the expenses ate being
used for the development of the local people. For an instance, the tropical eco resort is one of the
ecoresort in Whitsundays. This is also the only pet friendly resort of Whitsundays. This has to be
realized that the eco resort is trying to provide a complete support to the flora and fauna. The eco
resort is adorned beautifully with then lush green fields on all sides. This is also a very good
platform for generating the employment opportunities for the local community people. This is
indeed a very good attempt for supporting the financial needs of the local people.The visitors
who are staying in Whitsundays must surely stay at the eco resorts and also pay a visit to the
local market. This is also one of the good and useful attempts of the Government to make sure
that the local people are getting a proper exposure. This will help them to sell their local
products. This will surely help them to become financially independent.
Staying in the eco resorts will also make the local people work as guides for the tourist.
The local people are then ones who know their regions in the best way possible. It is for this

reason that they can act as the tour guides and help the tourists get a good lifetime experience.
One of the important features of staying in eco resort is getting a feel of the agro based tourism
as well. The tourists can pay a visit to the sugarcane plantations. The Whitesundays export about
27 percent of the Australia’s total sugarcane production There are many other attractions that the
tourists will en joy while they are staying in the whitesundays. Tourists can also book this place
for celebrating the cherishable occasions of their lives like weddings and other such special
occasions.
One of the fears that lies is that what if this beautiful pristine place is lost because of the
indiscriminate pressures created over mother nature. In other words, there can be tourists who are
misusing the resources and behaving in an irresponsible manner insensible dumping of wastes in
the sea beaches or on the reef will cause large scale pollution. This will surely turn out to be a
major problem for the beauty of this place. So, efforts are to be made that there is proper
awareness among the visitors and also the tourism industry official. They have to make sure that
they are being able to initiate a sustainable development of the place. A large scale innovation is
taking place. Availability of pure and clean water is a problem. Water quality monitor equipment
is very expensive so they are trying to use some cost effective advanced methods. AJJA
Technologies are being used for raising funds and bringing about innovations.
The Government support is currently helping the Whitsundays to carry on their business
properly. There are also grants system that helps in raising sufficient amount of money for the
growth and development of the local market. Whitsunday Climate Change innovation Hub is a
good future strategy that can be used to keep a track of the changing climate on a national and
international basis. This will be helpful in developing the tourism in future.
