NEW TECHNOLOGIES 2
Transforming the table into a technological scene
To provide sensorial gastronomic experiences to the consumers or to the food lovers the
owner of the restaurants can adopt the new technology such as with the ketchup and
saltshaker the restaurants can put the I-pads or tablets on tables with the help of that the
customers can place their desired orders (The Daily Prosper, 2018). The tablets and i-pads
can help in speed up the services of the restaurants by allowing customers to achieve various
tasks such as paying their bills or ordering food. The installation of tablets and i-pads will
save the time of the consumers they did not have to wait for the server to come and take
orders or after dinner, they need not have to wait for their bill to print and come to them, a
bill will appear on the tablet automatically when they place the order. This new technology
will allow restaurants to turn tables more quickly and serve more guests (Business.com,
2018). This new advancement of restaurants will help the restaurant owners in cost cutting,
by installing, the tablets on the tables will reduce the need of waiters and restaurants need not
hire more waiters for taking orders. The restaurants just need to hire waiters just to serve the
food and if the restaurant or the outlet is based on the self-service theme then they did not
have to hire waiters for serving too. The new technology advancement will enhance the brand
image of the restaurants and will also help in targeting new consumers for the business. The
tablets and i-pad not only help in placing orders but it will also help in payment of bill as the
option of online payment will also be provided on the table (Filloon, 2017) The theme of just
tab your order can help the restaurants in increasing sell and getting a competitive advantage
over their competitors.

Shockwave technology
For higher desirable quality in every type of meat, tenderness is much required element.
Shockwave is an electrifying non-invasive and new innovative processing technology that is
developed to improve the tenderness of the meat (CSIRO, 2018). Enrichment of tenderness
is still a problem for the restaurants and in the food industry, the development of new
involvements would significantly subsidise to increased profitability and revenue as well as
higher client contentment. The CSIRO’s food innovation centre developed Australia’s main
shockwave equipment (CSIRO, 2017). The technology is Based on pulses of power-driven
pressure, the shockwaves can be produced either by electrical discharges under water or by
detonating explosives. Shockwaves for food handling conducted with water, where they hit a
substantial with diverse aural properties of the water and then machine-driven stress occurs,
to unsettle the erection of the food. This process can also improve the abstraction of bioactive
from modifying the structure of grains and plant materials to advance the milling yield. The
greatest capable solicitation of the shockwave in the initial stage of the technology is
tenderisation of fish and meat in addition, this also useful in the fragmentation of tissues and
alteration of the construction of any organic material.
