Report
AI Summary
This report examines the multifaceted impact of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) on society, economy, and culture. It begins by discussing HCI's role in improving usability through GUIs and specialized interfaces for disabled users and hostile environments. The report then analyzes HCI's economic effects, such as speeding up inputs, automating tasks, and enabling voice input. Furthermore, it explores HCI's cultural influence, including changes in entertainment, shopping habits, and social interactions. The report also considers the future of HCI, emphasizing its potential to enhance various aspects of life while also cautioning against over-reliance on technology, which could lead to health and environmental issues. The document concludes by advocating for the responsible use of technology to improve the future without compromising human well-being and the environment. Task 1 HCI and Society
Human Computer interaction (HCI) helps a lot for the society in many terms, such as ease of use,
better services, and good understanding.
Command-line interface is a black screen, which takes dedicated commands for every work, and
Graphical user interface provide a graphical representation of the command, computer system
convert the click event into the command for particular work as shown in above figure. It is also
a huge change in technology and it is beneficial for disabled users as shown in below figure.
It is uses in displays for public places, such as airport, railways, and other places, that will affect
society. HCI is also helpful for surgery in medical field. Mobile phones are useful for society
but radiations of mobile network are sometimes a problem for people. Touch screens are so
helpful for disabled persons, and it is easier to use.1

Task 2 HCI and the Economy
There are many impacts on economy by the human computer interaction, such as speed up
inputs, text readers, voice input, and automation. All these are helps in different works at many
places, such as banks, call centers, and different working environment.
It will make many things easy, such as buying products. There are many filters for finding a
proper product according to need. It reduces complexity of input, such as provide many products
to customers for their choice. Voice input is a drastic change in technology and it directly impact
on economic. Disabled persons are so happy after this technology.
All these are new device will be present in the future, and it will happen because of HCI.2

Task 3 HCI and culture
Human computer interaction impact on cultural at huge level. It has created an environment in
which everyone feels like a new world. It has new ideas and products for normal life of a person,
such as touch screen mobile phones, advanced kitchen, and weather forecast. HCI change many
things in a good way but also in bad ways as well. Computer gaming is a nice way to enjoy and
entertainment, but outside game are less in today’s life. It affects culture of society, such as
online shopping, and online food delivery. Maximum people avoid window-shopping and other
outside works; they use technology for it and make it easier. So indirectly, the cultures of all
these things are changed.3

society, the economy and culture
D1 Evaluate the impact of a potential
future development in HCI
Games controllers

Highly configured Laptops
Mobile Phones
Domestic application
Speed up inputs

Voice Input
Text readers
Better entertainment
Fast working
Good for complex work
Easy communication
Best approach to learn
Easier way to take data
More comfortable
Easy for disabled person
Fast transformation of data
Human computer interaction is an innovation in the field of graphics design. It change many
things and replace old technologies. HCI change the world and new generation thinks that it is
reality. There are many of ways for recruitment of employees but now days it is so simple to hire
employees using HCI. HCI affects a positive effect on society, economy, and culture. It has
created a different environment for making all things easier, such as shopping, online banking,
and automation. It is better in many cases but it has side effect on human body as well as on
nature also. Everyone have a remote control for each work, so physical movement is almost
finished because of high technology and interfaces. No physical work means, lot of diseases in a
human body, such as diabetes, cardio problems, and many more. I believe that use technology
for betterment of future and save time but do not forget necessary things for human as well as for
nature4.
