HCT ANNOUNCES THE PARTICIPATION OF MR. ELMAN PADILLA IN A REPUTABLE
DESIGN CONFERENCE IN SPAIN
Dubai 19 October, 2018: The HCT fraternity in the UAE is delighted to announce the
successful application and invitation of Mr. Elman Padilla, one of her staff to exhibit at the
reputable design conference in Spain.
The design conference attracts several companies of renown drawn from 23 countries. The Ibero-
American Design Biennial (BID) is an exhibition that is organized every two years at the Design
Center of Matadero in Madrid. The centre is promoted by the Government of Culture and Sports

Area of Madrid. Among the aims, the IDB helps provides a forum for the generation and sharing
of ideas among professionals.
Mr. Padilla has been a design educator at the Universidad Jose Cecilio del Valle and CEDA Centro de
Diseno, Arauitecturay Construction, (Honduras) and America and Higher Colleges of Technology
(UAE). His work has been featured in “Latin American Graphic Design”, Best Graphic Designers of
Yesterday and Today among other publications of renown. Among the major professional
achievements for Mr. Padilla in 2015 was when he was designated “Latin Design Ambassador” at the
VI Design Teaching Congress and a member of the Design Latin Committee for the 2015 Design
School Forum at Universidad de Palermo Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a distinguished scholar with
impressive credentials deserving of the honor accorded to him.

The central exhibition of the IDB shows, concentrated, the best expressions of recent design in Latin
America, Spain and Portugal and consists of about 400 works of designers from all areas of Design:
Design of spaces and interior design, Industrial design product, Graphic design and visual
communication, Fashion design, textile and accessories, Digital design, Design of services and
integral designs/ cross-sectional Among these works, selected by the IDB Advisory Committee, an
international jury draws the best by category and awards international prizes. Our company is
privileged to have one of its outstanding employees attend such an event that can potentially propel
him and the company to greater heights of excellence.

Opening week with prominent international guests and about 35 free admission activities
(conferences, workshops, networking, bursts round tables) to share experiences, make themselves
known, contrast projects and work methodologies and generate business and market sources. The
opportunity to network will expose Padilla to distinguished professionals and enhance the prestige of
HCT as a distinguished brand. In this edition the IDB circuit is being developed, a program of linkage
with cultural institutions, showrooms, shop windows and training centers in Madrid to be part of the
IDB's program of activities throughout this year and the next. The institutions will host a part of the
Ibero-American Design Biennial according to their interest.
The design Conference will seek to achieve the following objectives
Promote the design of Latin America.
Disseminate the works of professionals and of the Ibero-American students.
Bring the design culture closer to the public. - Promote reflection in the academic field
Consolidate and create networks to promote exchanges between professionals, schools,
associations, promotion centers, institutions, companies, etc
Promote public policies on design in Latin America as an engine of economic development.
Influence, through design, issues that are included in the Madrid Declaration.
