Headspace Project: A Comprehensive Analysis of Mental Health Support

This project analyzes the Headspace Project, a mental health support system designed to aid Australian youth. Identification of Stakeholders in Headspace Project
Individual that are involved and will be affected in this project can be stated as
stakeholders. For this case there are several stakeholders, which are doctors, nurses, Australian
youths, staffs, IT staffs and many more. These stakeholders can be classified into different
groups, which are internal stakeholders, External stakeholders, Operational stakeholders and
Executive stakeholders. Comprising this further classifications are Internal-operational, Internal-
Executive, External-Operational and External-Executive stakeholders. Internal stakeholders are
those stakeholders who are part of the company like IT staffs, manager, etc. Similarly, external

stakeholders are those who are from outside the organization or those who does not belong to the
organization like consumers (Australian Youth), suppliers, resource provider, etc. Executive
stakeholders are those who are related to the project indirectly such as donors, Government,
finance provider etc. Internal-operational stakeholders are the stakeholders who are involved in
the process to make the project successful and are member of the organization like Staffs,
programmers, system designer, Accountants, Staffs, etc. Similarly, internal-executive
stakeholders are the individuals who are part of the organization who plays vital role in decision-
making process for the organization. It involves Board committee members, Project Manager,
resource provider, Top Management etc. Additionally, External-operational stakeholders are the
stakeholders who are not a part of the organization; however have authority to access the offered
product or equipment. Lastly, External-executive stakeholders are the stakeholders who are not
involved in to completion of the project but are provides the materials, equipment and services
that are important for the completion of the project like Donors, Government, and Suppliers etc.

Business Case:
Most of the Australian youth are facing the problem of metal sickness in their early stage
of life like anxiety, depression etc. Main agenda of this project is aware the youths about the cure
that medical team can offer. Most of the youngsters either do not get proper treatment or shy to
move to a doctor and tell them about the problem. The main objective of this project is to interact
with the users in a way that is familiar to them and make them comfortable to tell their
experiences and if any mental health problem they are facing. Headspace is introduced to the
society in order to help the youths about the mental issues they are facing and provide them with
proper care and treatment at the early stage via internet. Headspace could be perfect platform for
the youths in order to get proper medical attention using internet technology. Patients (youths)
can share data and information related to their mental health condition, and get quick response
from the doctors. This service will be provided via internet thus gives the patients option of 24x7
access and availability. This project will be beneficial in order to pre-determine the causes and
symptoms that might affect the thinking of the youths and will help the society to make it better.

society namely ‘headspace’, which will provide best medical treatments to the individuals

Use case diagram is a graphical representation of roles of stakeholder and a way to
identify and analyze the responsibilities and roles of the stakeholders. It can be helpful in
identifying the user and the respective work of those users in the system, whose boundary is
inside the box. The figures outside the box are the actors who are responsible for the job in the
system.

Description: The young generation and the youths of Australia are the primary actors for
this Use Case. The primary actors will have to create their profile in the system (Headspace).
After the creation of the profile, they will have to feed their personal details and then they will be
eligible to share their stories related to the problems they are facing related to mental health in
order to avail the service (medical treatment) by certified doctors.

Description: For this use case there are two actors who are accessing the stories that are
being saved into the database of the Headspace system in the, which are Australian youth and the
medical specialist. The story that was being shared in the above use case are now showing to the
healthcare specialist in order to overlook those stories for further action.
