INTRODUCTION
Project planning is a process of making the strategies for the completion of the project
within a specific time period. Health and fitness in very important for the people whether they
are employees of an organisation or not working people. It helps in maintaining the balance of
the body through the physical activates and by having vitamin and mineral based foods. In this
report, Astra Plc has been taken into consideration which is a small size company which involves
in the business of selling food supplement that are based on the vitamins and minerals. The
company is going to launch a new application for the health and fitness to diversify its portfolio.
The report will elaborate the project plan with the help of the Gantt chart and the scope of the
project. The report will also cover the risk that are associated with the project and also measure
the success of the installation of the application.

Astra Plc is going to launch new application for their health and fitness for which the
project plan will be made which are described as under:
 Aim of the project: The aim of the project is to diversify the portfolio of the food
supplement that are based on the vitamins and minerals and increase the brand awareness
of their products among the customers(Morel and Gomez, 2021).
 Project Title: The title of the project is “Launching of health and fitness app”.
 Target customers: The target customers of the company will be the youngsters,
professionals, social media influencers and the athlete etc.
 Implementation of in app analytics: The app will contain the calorie calculator, water
intake tool, virtual trainer, sharing option for fitness, result tracking such fitness progress,
blogs on fitness goals and so on.
 Time frame: The app will take three months to be completed.
 Gantt chart: It is a tool which help team to make plan or set the task according to the
time frame so that it can be completed with in a specific time by allocating the resources.

It is component of the project planning which refers to the process of setting the time line
for the project and defines the goals and deadlines so that the company can achieve its target.
The project scope includes the projects goals, products, attributes, task, deadlines cost etc. This
help the organisation to complete the task with specific cost and available resources. In relation
with the Astra Plc, it is going to launch the new application for the health and fitness which help
in increasing its business(Ajmal and et.al., 2021). The company can get the goals by providing
the application to the users with good features which assist in increasing the brans awareness of
the company. The scope has been defines as under:
 Design of the app: The app will be designs as it can include the personalisation of the
users such as age, gender, height, weight etc., tracking the matrices, push notification,
social sharing, fitness blogs and option of the goal setting.
 Launch cost: The launching cost of the fitness app include the standard average cost that
is 40000-70000 US dollars.
 Social media integration: It will include the social media sharing option so that the user
can share their progress with the other users. It also include the targeted customers such
as social media influencers because they are highly self conscious for their health.
 In app purchase: It will involve the extra features that are provided only after the
payment made by the users. The features may include the training plans, personal
support, extra health or routine exercise tips through the audio or video.
 App customisation: It will contain the customisation so that the needs of the user can
be fulfilled through the customised app theme, individual app store listing and so on.
 Testing of app: It also include in the scope of the project because the app is tested
before launching it so that any deviation occurs or found technical error so that it can be
resolved.
 Launching of app: After the test, the app is ready to launch by setting the mobile app's
landing page.
