Report
AI Summary
This report provides a summative evaluation of a health communication campaign focused on raising awareness about diabetes and promoting glucometer usage among older adults. The evaluation process involves assessing the campaign's goals, which include increasing awareness of diabetes and encouraging self-testing of blood sugar levels. The report outlines both process and summative evaluation methods. Process evaluation involves tracking campaign worker activities and monitoring the implementation of the campaign plan. Summative evaluation focuses on measuring the campaign's impact, such as changes in diabetes control and glucometer usage among the target population. The campaign's success is determined by whether the observed outcomes align with the set objectives, such as a decrease in diabetes prevalence and increased glucometer usage. The report references relevant studies and provides a comprehensive overview of the campaign's objectives, target population, and evaluation strategies.

SUMMATIVE EVALUATION
Process Evaluation
In case of the health communication campaign about the glucometer usage in the daily
life for evaluating and assessing the blood sugar level of the older people. The activities of this
health communication campaign would be possible if the workers maintain a log about the
activity and the organizing committee would also keep track on the worker’s daily as well to
determine the communication campaign is on track and targeting all the older people (Ayers et
al., 2016).
The activities of the campaign workers would be evaluated on the basis of the positive
outcomes of the awareness program. It can also be evaluated on the basis of tracking the
everyday activity of the campaign workers and the targeted people. The planning blueprint also
needed to be updated and checked on the basis of the changes found among the target people.
Summative Evaluation
The campaign is about rising awareness against diabetes and the usage of glocometer
among the people with age above 60 thus the old people are the target group and they are the
group of people who will intervened. The outcome of the target could be measured in terms of
the diabetes control among the people and the increasing rate of the glucometer usage. The
measurement would be focused on the decreasing rate of diabetes and if it is lower than before
then the campaign would be termed successful and the goal of the awareness program by
communication campaign would also be met. However, if the observation reported to be
negative in terms of diabetes control and the glocometer usage then the evaluation and the
communication campaign would be termed unsuccessful in the given period (Siminerio et al.,
2018).
