INTRODUCTION
Health and care organisation are having a proper set of regulations and according to this
they have to provide care to patients (Green, Savin and Lu, 2013). This assignment is based on
East & West Care Homes which is situated in London, they are providing care to vulnerable. It
will describe procedures to protect by harm of patients and employees. After it, this reports will
make it's focus on legislation and code of practice which are relevant to work in health and social
care. Various theories will explain in this report of H&C organisation. At last it has a personal
reflection on own responsibilities, contribution and recommendation on development.
TASK 1
1.1 Use of principle of support in East and West Care Homes
Principles are set of rules and regulations which provides a support to care persons which
are working in the organisation. Patients and care workers are the community which is having a
huge need support so it is essential for the management to provide a proper and appropriate care
to them (Bridges and et. al., 2011). As East & West Care Homes are providing their support to
vulnerable so it is essential for them to use a proper guide of principles. East and West
organisation is having it's focus to provide a proper health care to each and every patients with
out making any type of discrimination, so it shows that they have implemented Equality Act,
2010 in an appropriate manner by which they are providing a treatment and care to all of those
persons which are having a need of special care and protection. They are using a proper pr9ocess
to diagnose a disease to provide an appropriate needed treatment according to Mental Capacity
Act 2005.
1.2 Procedures to protecting clients
Protection is an essential element for clients and employees which are working in the
organisation from any type of harm. It is essential for the management of East and West Care
Homes to provide a proper protection to their patients (Fetters, Curry and Creswell, 2013). Harm
can be divided in to theft, physical and mental abuse and any type of violence from vulnerable
people. Organisation has recruited some employees to provide a protection to their disables
patients but according to CQC report their care workers are committed in wrong full act.
Organisation is having a proper procedure to provide protection to employees from mentally
challenged people and they are taking them in a different ward from others and employees are

1.3 Benefits of following a person centred approach
Person centred approach was generated by the Carl Rogers and according to this
approach, each and every client is having a their own need so it is essential for care homes to
provide the same to that particular client. It has a huge benefits for patients because each and
every patent is a case and they are having their own history (Druss and Mauer, 2010). By using
this approach customers of health and care organisation can get the exact treatment from an
expert and according to this approach it is the duty of the care person to analyse the whole
history of client to determine a treatment to them. So East and West Care Homes has to use this
approach and they have to provide customer centric treatment. This approach will provide
benefits to those which are having a specific need, as an example a patient is unable to walk so
health and care organisation has to provide wheelchair to them.
1.4 Ethical dilemmas and conflict in providing care
As the East and West Care homes are providing their services to each and every type of
patients without making a any type of discrimination so it is essential for them to maintain this
anti discriminatory approach any how. Ethical dilemmas can be occurred in future in any type of
discrimination because they are not having a proper management in the organisation so it is
having a huge chance of happen in their future. It can be create a huge problems to them so it is
essential for them to ensure all services which are providing like; food, accommodation are
appropriate to all, to reduce the risk of any type of discrimination (Diakides, Bronzino and
Peterson, 2012). Discrimination in between food providing can be a big issue in the organisation
so it is essential for management to ensure to retain an equivalent quality in their food to reduce
the risk of dilemmas in their future.

4.3 Recommendation to develop own contributions to meeting practice requirements

in organisational betterment. As East and West Care Homes is having huge need of betterment
after the visit of CQC so they have to make proper analysis on those points which are making an
adverse impact on their service users (Browne and et. al., 2010). So managers has to learn
different analytical theories on the basis of which they can make a better service for their
customers. They have to learn more about management by which they can make a better
