The four parts of the Christian biblical narrative describes the following about the nature
of God and the reality of sickness:
Creation: This narrative explained that God created the earth and everything worked according
to God’s will. The world was created for human beings where they could nurture and every
creature lives in peace in the presence of God’s glory.
Fall: In the fall, Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s rule and this form of rebellious choice has been
referred as fall. It represented the actions of the humanity which involves sinning and being put
to spiritual and physical death.
Redemption: In the redemption, God shows a plan for redeeming his world and those who have
ever sinned in their life. The grand narratives of scripture show how God sent his Jesus Christ to
the world and die for the sins. On the third day, he ascended to the heaven.
Restoration: This part of the narrative explains about the restoration nature of God. This part
explains that Jesus will come back to earth again and judge all individuals on the basis of
righteousness and sins committed (Esqueda, 2014).
According to the Christian biblical narrative, one could find hope and comfort in the light
of illness by loving God and following God’s will. This is explained in all four parts of the
narrative by showing that God brings healing, peace and lightens the burden of the humans
(Esqueda, 2014).
The four Christian biblical narratives have different implications. The creation narrative
explains that by creating humans, it has been found how special people are for God. The fall
shows the implications and consequences of disobeying God. The redemption plan indicates the

original position and purpose of every human. The last plan restoration exemplifies the way to
effectively understand sins and sufferings. It represents the God’s will to protect his followers
and restore their character (Tryon, 2018).
