INTRODUCTION
Health disparities refers preventable differences in the burden of injury, disease and
violence for achieving optimal health National Center for Health Statistics (US. (2016). This
study is going to show some reasons as well as impacts on the health of indigenous people which
experience health disparities.

Reasons that why indigenous people globally experience health disparities which impact their
health
Discussion: Indigenous people are known as culturally distinct societies which consider
themselves different from other communities and are extreme poor. In the context of life
expectancy, it can be said that they have approximate 20 years lower life expectancy than non-
indigenous people Lawrence & et.al., (2019). There area several reasons of health disparities in
indigenous people such as: poverty, educational inequalities, improper and inadequate access to
health and care services, environmental threats etc. Some common threats and issues which
indigenous people are facing include:
 State discrimination, in which non-indigenous people consider indigenous people differ
and treat them in different ways, they also make tactical use of violence.
 Indigenous people do not have access to legal avenues.
Identification
There are several multiple factors which are increasing health disparities such as:
 Some behavioural factors.
 Poverty which is one of the main factor.
 Do not getting proper access to health and service care
 Differences in education or educational inequalities Akter & et.al., (2019).
Illustration
In the context of health dispensaries in indigenous people, it can be said that poverty is
one of the main reason which makes them differ and also having negative impacts on their
health. Due to lack of money and discrimination they do not have proper and adequate access to
health care services. It affects their health in a negative manner. It also includes: poor diet,

inadequate physical activities, emotional abuse and other health risks Carter, Barr & Clarke,
(2016).
Social, political and economic factors which affect health disparities
There are several multiples factors which affect health disparities which may related to
social, political and economic. All these factors are discussed in a detailed manner such as:
Social factors: Society is one of the main factor in which people are born, live, work and
perform all activities. Children born in a family and society who does not have enough money to
give opportunities to their children to complete high school, live safely. Due to lack of money
and education they do not get access to health services and all this resource which can improve
quality of their lives Charonis & et.al., (2017). Unsafe house, inadequate access on health and
education and discrimination by people with high societies are some factors.
Political factors: These factors shape how people perceive and react to informations. In
the context of political factors it is stated that government of the UK and other countries are
focusing on improving health of people. It is affecting health of indigenous people to the great
extent in a positive manner. They are getting proper and adequate access of health and care
services, they also have rights to get education as well as living life as per others. They have
developed policies which focuses on improving health by with it socio-economic inequalities
cannot be served from their health effects Assari, (2018).
Economic factors: Some economic factors like employment and unemployment rate,
income, community safety have direct effect the people live as how well and how long they can
live. Due to unemployment rate and poor economic condition people do not get good school
services, stable jobs by which they can not focus on their diet, Poor diet due to lack of money
and other factors effect their health Suarez-Balcazar, Mirza & Garcia-Ramirez, (2018). On the
other hand, an effective economic condition and employment rate provides income to people
which shapes choices about child care, education, medical care and housing. So, it can be said
that economic conditions of a country affect health disparities.
Indigenous community
Aboriginal Australian are known as the oldest population who are also known as
Australia's first people. They have lived on the continent for approximate 50,000 years. All these
aboriginal groups of Australia are all related to group indigenous Aboriginal Australians, (2017).

They are from a distinct population. In this context, it is also stated that people migrated to
Northern Australia from Asia by making an effective use of primitive boats.
CONCLUSION
From the above study, it has been summarized that social and political factors affect
health of indigenous people to the great extent. It has also shown some reasons that why
indigenous people globally are experiencing health disparities.
