TASK 1
Examine the factors influencing health status
Health is define as the complete state of physical, social and mental well being. It also
mention the absence of disease including the ability to recover from the illness. The better health
is necessary in human life and many factors are present which influences health status of a
individual's life (Dang and Maggio, 2017). To fulfil a better health, it is necessary to satisfy the
needs of an individual by a proper balanced diet and regular exercise. With the help of these, the
individuals can perform better in their social, physical, emotional and mental factors.
Biological and genetic factor
There are biological factor that affect a human health like ageing is one of the most vital
factor which is highly associated to health. The ageing refers to the poor health as in the part of
the body function slows down. In this factor, there are lots of changes occur physically and in the
functioning of brain. For example, the older people are more affected from poor health than
adults. The genetic factors affect health due to changes in genes which results in outcome of
various illness. This factor mainly is transferred from parents to child which cause various
inherent diseases.
Culture
The culture plays a highest role in affecting the health. This factor basically changes the
perceptions of illness and health. In this, the approaches, experiences, expressions are affect in
which the patients express their cause of illness and requirements of treatment of patients. There
are some cultural factors that influence the health such as language, ethnicity. The patients and
health care providers both are effective from the culture factor (Janes, 2016). It includes the
interaction between service users and service providers from which providers deliver the services
according to the needs of patients. It also includes the aware about the disease to the patients so
that they can fully adapt the treatment effectively.
Education
The education plays a important role in affecting the health. As it provides the awareness
about the disease which also help in changing perceptions of people towards health. With the
help of this factor, the people can educate themselves about their illness which help them to
express their cause effectively to the professionals.

Health services
The aim of health services is to provide the effective treatment to the patients. The loss in
proper treatment can affect the health (Kroning, Green and Kroning, 2017). The proper health
services includes immunization, proper and on time medication, safe food and water supply that
are a part of human health which can prevent the diseases. The shortage of these requirements
can affect the health and lead to various health problems.
Gender
The gender is one of the most potential barriers that affect health. As in some society, the
females are mostly unaware from the health treatments that are provided to men. There is
barriers occur due to maleness generosity in the society (Marris, 2018). The females are most
restricted from receiving any type of health opportunities which lead to the higher number of
appearance of disease among women.
Unemployment
The unemployment is highly affect health as it directly impacted on the physical and
mental health well being. The major impact of unemployed can result in raise of stress,
depression and low self-esteem which highly affect the physical health of a well being. This
condition can increase the rate of various heart diseases (O'Connor and Alfrey, 2015). The
unemployment also affect the diet of an individual as the person is not able to fulfil his
requirements which results in poorer health of his and the family members.
Communication
The communication plays a important role in an individual health and social well being.
The proper communication need to access between the service providers and users. This can help
the users as they can express about their illness more effectively from which the treatment can
deliver to them appropriately. The poor communication between the professional and patients
can develop difficulties for the providers in delivering services to patients. For example, in
schools when I was working as a early year practitioner then there are some children who are not
able to communicate properly as they have some disabilities (Ozer, 2016). There are some
barriers of communication that affect health and are described below.
ï‚· Physical barriers can affect the health because of presence of different disabilities that
cause less communication. Some of the individuals have hearing problems from which
they are not able to receive the message from sender. The some of them have language

difference which is also a barrier which users face at the time of attaining health care
services.
ï‚· Emotional mainly consist of barriers that are developed from the fear and mistrust. This
occurs highly among the children as they are not easily able to trust someone. This will
lead to delivering of improper treatment to them.
ï‚· Psychological barriers occur when the person have some past bad experience or many
time they are affected from the hospitals. This affect on the mental health of an individual
by preventing the person from any treatment.
ï‚· Cultural barrier affect the health because of cultural beliefs in the society which restrict
individual in assessing the health care services. This barrier highly occurs problem for
women as they are restricted to seen by a male doctor.
ï‚· Language barrier develops due to the difference in language which stop individuals from
assessing the health services. Some of the professional are familiar to English language
but the individuals are not familiar to this so that in this case barriers can arrive.
TASK 2
Analyse the impact of health beliefs on well being and illness
The beliefs refers to the opinion and personal attitudes on someone's belief that are hold
to be true. It is also an assumption about something which an individual hold on and take action
according to it. Some of the individual are believes that modes of treatment have different types
reaction so they keep resist from these treatment. In some case, the belief of contamination for
the various use of treatment can lead to refused from the treatments such as the use of injection
can cause some other infections (Rosskam, 2018). There are many individual who believe in
their rules of culture potentially from which they belief that the flu injections has some fat
content of animal which is against of their culture. The illness occur when a part of the human
body does not work properly because of disease. The treatments are based on the person's belief
of their conditions about illness from which the cause can be predict, treatment and recovery can
be done to patients. Some of the individual beliefs that the doctor can treat their health better
than other low post employees or nurses.

It is defined as the activity of science in which they use environmental, physical,
psychological and biological factors from which promotion of health and disease can be
prevented. The main aim of promoting health is to maintain the health of individual by reducing
the rate of death among population. The health can be promoted through delivering messages to
the people. There are various health programmes are conducted which have only one aim to
reduce the risk of disease and to maintain the health of an individual. From this, the risk of long
term disease can be prevented. There are some ways of promoting health such as to raise the
awareness about side effect of use of alcohol and smoking. The health can be promote by various
modes that are TV, campaigns, health fairs, journals and advertisement. It also includes the
promotion of skills and abilities of a person from which they can promote their health itself.
Health education
The health education refers to the science which use at the time of promoting health. In
this, the appropriate knowledge are given to individuals from which their beliefs and attitude
changes towards health (Sharma, 2016). The education about health can be given through
various activities and campaigns which help in preventing diseases and death. From the
education, individual learns about the proper health interventions.
Health strategies
There are health strategies which are used to effect health improvement. These strategies
includes communication, policies and environmental change. The communication can raise the
awareness about the health by communicating through verbally and non-verbally. In verbally
communication, the health can be promoted through advertisement, meetings, activities, etc. The
non verbally communication occurs by the use of newspapers, books, etc.
there are different policies system occur which use to promote health and prevention of diseases.
The implementation of policies in the organisation can help them to change the environment
from which they can facilitate the health (Yudkowsky, Park and Downing, 2019). With this, they
can easily handle the issues of health of individual. The changes in manufacturing policies of
organisation can help in reducing the risk of disease such as diabetes, etc. The various campaigns
can provide the efficient resources from which the individual can promote their health.

TASK 3
Explore the relationship between theoretical models of health education and health behaviour
THEORETICAL MODEL OF HEALTH EDUCATION
Health Belief Model
This model refers to the relation of health with behaviour of an individual in which the
person is willing to avoid illness or believes that the special health care can prevent it. In this, the
behaviour of individual depends on the action and perception of the benefits. There are basically
six factors of health belief model which are described below.
ï‚· Perceived susceptibility:- This factor depends on the perception of disease of a person.
There are various changes occur due to their perception of feeling to an illness.
ï‚· Perceived severity:- This depends on the perception and seriousness about any illness or
disease. In this, the person consider the consequences of any severity consider or not.
ï‚· Perceived benefits:- In this, the person concept of various actions are consider from
which they are they can treat diseases and illness. It rely on considering the both
susceptibility and benefits so that the person can consider the health action.
ï‚· Perceived barriers:- There are lost of barriers which are attain by the people and because
of it they have difficulties in adapting the change of health behaviour. Due to barriers, the
people are not able to accept the health and the chances of barriers and dangerous can be
arise.
ï‚· Cue to action:- In this the action is taken which promote the health and motivate the
people to take further decisions in their action of health.
ï‚· Self-efficacy:- This is an important factor to make the successful about the change. In
order to make this successful, the person must believes on himself about the change.
The limitation of this model is that it does not account for the behaviour that are habitual and on
non-health related reasons.
Transtheoretical model
This model refers to the decisions of the individual or changes which are taken by
themselves in their everyday lives in order to maintaining their health. There are six stages of
changes that are described below.

ï‚· Precontemplation:- in this the people are unaware about their changes of behaviour that
can be problematic and impacted the negative on them. The people mostly ignore the
benefits of changing behaviour.
ï‚· Contemplation:- in this people are recognize that their change behaviour can become
problematic and the consideration takes place about the benefits of the behaviour.
ï‚· Preparation:- in this, the people are now ready to take steps in their change of behaviour.
They start believing that the change can lead to healthier life.
ï‚· Action:- the people are now changed their behaviour and are going to continuing their
change behaviour as they receive benefits from it (Doyle, Ward and Early, 2018).
ï‚· Maintenance:- in this people maintain their change behaviour. The people are now
working to prevent themselves so that they does not get back to previous stages.
ï‚· Termination:- in this, the people are now fully satisfied from their healthy changed
behaviour and not willing to return to their previous behaviour.
The limitation of this model is that it does not deliver the clear sense of the time needed in the
changes behaviour.
TASK 4
Implement a local health education initiative using a theoretical model of health education
CHILDCARE IN UK
Introduction
The main risk that we faced as a early year practitioner in child care is to communication
with the children. While talking with children it is necessary to sensible and polite as the children
can easily get offended. The children not easily engaged with someone on which they can't trust .
So it is necessary for me to make a comfortable and secure environment in which they can
express themselves freely. With this, it is easier to understand the problems of a children which
are they facing in schools. There are lots of problems occur in the school such as problem in
communication between teachers and students, disabilities. These can be prevented by achieving
different types of strategies in my strategic rule. Firstly, I would like to decrease the
communication gap between both teachers and children. After this, I would prefer to update
some of the teaching strategies from which children can understand their subjects more
effectively. The resources which I have used in my role of practitioner were paper, pen and other

creative things which motivate the children to take part in activities so that they can overcome
from their disabilities.
The strategies which I have used for promoting health in schools is that the providing
information about the factors that impacted on health. In my strategies, the various activities are
also included from which the children can understand the information deeply.
CONCLUSION
From the above assignment and campaign, it has been concluded that the promotion of
health is necessary among all the age group. The practitioner need to take action about the
promoting of health to the individuals. The positive impact of campaign is that the children are
now express their problems and can overcome from it effectively. This campaign provide aware
about the raising of a child by considering their needs. With the help of this, now I can manage
the problems that arise in schools in front of children because now I completely aware about the
issues that may occur in schools.
EVALUATION
I have faced lots of challenges while conducting this campaign. In this campaign, I prefer
to choose one model theory of health education and that is health belief model in the campaign.
The health model keep in simple manner among children as they face some difficulties in
understanding the model. The outcome of this campaign come out positively as I and my team
are able to furnish the care among children. Now children develop trust on us and has no fear
about any thing. They are starting their problems among us and this is a good sign in promotion
of health in between the children. This campaign teach me lots of things about children that how
they adapt health factors efficiently. In future, I would like to use this model in my role of
practitioner in promoting childcare in schools. With the help of different activities, it is become
easier for me to deliver the information to the children. I would like to include various types of
activities in my plan so that I can deliver efficient information furthermore. In my campaign, I
would like to add on some of the other information which can help in raising a children.
