There are various information system vendors that provide HER/EMR products to the
patients in order to address the health-related issues and problems. These vendors are
described below:
 E-clinical works
 All scripts
 Cerner
 Practice fusion
 Epic [1].
Compare and contrast the functions of systems
It is argued that heath care systems provide a way to control and manage the health
disorders faced by the patients by providing HER or EMR related services [2]. E-clinical
work is one of the essential vendors that provide electronic health record tools to the
patients and manage health-related disorders. As compared with other vendors, E-clinical
work is a more effective vendor that reached 94% market score and more than 115000
consumers use the services provided by e-clinical works. In terms of effectiveness, e-
clinical works are more effective and reliable that provides complete detail of the process
and helps the patient to manage health issues [3].
On the other hand, all scripts vendor has 40000 customers that provide HER related
services to the patients and health communities. In terms of users, all scripts vendor has
fewer users rather than e-clinical works but it is capable to solve the health-related
concerns effectively. In terms of vendor size, all script has a larger vendor size as it
provides both HER and EMR products to the consumers. Cerner is another vendor that
reached 71% market score and 25000 customers which are very less as compared with all
scripts and e-clinical works. Capterra, et al., (2018) examined that the HER products
provided by Cerner ensure the right nurses have the right information at the right situation
which cannot be seen in other healthcare vendors [1]. On the other hand, practice fusion

has reached 71% market score which is less rather than e-clinical works but it provides a
cloud based HER platforms for delivering better care to the patients [4].
In terms of vendor size, practice fusion has less size of the vendor as it provided limited
products and services to the patients which are effective for enhancing the health of the
consumers. Epic is another healthcare vendor that has a 70% market score and 26000
customers use HER products provided by the epic vendor. The major function of this
vendor is that it provides physicians with friendly EHR products to the customers by which
the level of health can be enhanced and data of the patients can be stored effectively.
Role of information system vendors in healthcare
The health care information systems are capable to collect and store larger data sets in the
healthcare communities and provide EHR related tools by which healthcare systems can
evaluate and record data of the patients. In this generation, many health communities use
EHR products for managing health information of the patients [4]. The major function of
information systems is that they provide effective services that help to enhance the
effectiveness and efficiency of the systems. Using EHR products health communities can
store larger datasets and manage health information of patients in a specific system that
helps to reduce medical errors and costs.
