United States trying to solve the issue of caravan

At the end of October 2018, USA witnesses the arrival of a huge caravan that is making
its way towards them from Central America. The people who are traveling in this caravan are
taking this route as they feel that the rout in the north can be very troublesome. However, there
have been several other caravan journeys earlier but this is special because it is exceptionally
huge in number. As per the opinion of reporters, there are men, women, children and also the
LGBTQ workers travelling along with his caravan.
This caravan has become the center of attraction for the people of UK and has also
received the attention of Trump. On Twitter, the President wrote, “Guatemala, Honduras and El
Salvador were not able to do the job of stopping people from leaving their country and coming
illegally to the U.S. We will now begin cutting off, or substantially reducing, the massive foreign
aid routinely given to them.” As per the opinion of the president, there might be some anti social
people and criminals mingled within the group of the people travelling through the caravan. It is
for this reason that he has said “criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in” the
group of people who are coming this way Therefore, there is threat that this caravan might have
prove to a major threat for the people living in America. On the other hand there is also a
possibility that the people approaching in the caravan are not bad and come with a good and
positive thought. Hence, CNN’s Jim Acosta pressed the President for proof, Trump
acknowledged that “There’s no proof of anything but,” he then added, “they could very well be.”

There have been several cases of refugees arriving in such caravans’ previously. There
are several concerns that need to be taken care of while there is a caravan arriving or
approaching to some new country. There are also chances that some diseases or epidemics might
break out in the country. Often there is not enough places to provide settlement to the people
approaching in caravan. In November 2018, there were thousands of migrants arrived in Tijuana
in the month of November 2018. Some of the people wanted to support them and also asked to
provide food and water for them. However, some of the people were of the opinion that there
might be impending threats coming out from this. It is for this reason that the US Government
denied the access to the mental health or the asylum services that were being demanded by the
people arriving in then caravan. In November 2019, people who migrated in Tijuna led several as
they wanted to revolt against the difficulties that they are facing in order to avail the proper
asylum facilities. As the protests were being led in the border areas, the US forces also started
releasing tear gases. This made the refuges run and flee the place with their choking babies in
order tom save their lives. These pictures and videos were uploaded on the internet and it also
went viral in order to attract the attention of the common people.
There can also be several health problems for children women and the older generation of
people due to the lack of sufficient amount of resources available for the sustaining of the people
arriving in the caravan.
Some people however face problems in understanding the concept of the terms like
migration, refugee, immigrants and other such people.
Migration-this is the process by which people of one particular place or locality move to
some other countries or places in search of food, shelter or any other such motifs.

Migrant- This term is used refer to the people who move from one place to the other.
They move from the place where they were born and have been living for so long. They mainly
move to some or the other places for finding some new employment or new motifs to lead their
lies. There is either some political stress on these people due to which they are forced to move to
some other places. Apart from this there is this probability that these people are moving from
their places of birth to some other foreign lands because of their own choice.
Refugee- This is a term that is used to refer to people who are moving from their birth
places to some unknown lands in order to save themselves from any impending danger.
Environmental disasters are considered as one of the main reasons that often force people to
ravel to some new places. It was in th year 1951, the United Nations created this term and also
explained the meaning.
