INTRODUCTION
Research skill can be defined as the ability of searching for, locating, extracting, organizing,
evaluating as well as using the present information which is much relevant to the topic. These
skills are much important as this helps the individual in gathering as well as analysing the
information by critically thinking, and helps in exercising the mind (Robelo and Bucheli, 2018).
Some research skill are such as the searching for the information, problem solving,
communicating skills, taking notes and many more. This report will discuss the two health
problems which are caused by the internet addiction as well as the recommendations of the two
potential solutions for this.

potential solution for this-
The social media and the mobile devices when used by the people lead to the
psychological and the physical issues to them. The excessive use of the technology must have the

health problems which is caused by the internet addiction is the depression and the physical
issues of the eyes-train. The internet is shrinking the human brain because the extensive use has
been linked by the eye strain. From one of the study it was found that one third of the people

when uses the digital devices or the internet, they do not blink there eyes often as this causes the
faster disruptions as well as the evaporation of the films of the tears which helps in protecting the
surface of the eyes. The blue light which is emitting by the electronic devices as too much use of
the internet has caused the common pitfall in the digital era and this is leading to the cause of
eyestrain in many people (Jamrozik and et.al., 2019). The eyes feel tired as well as irritated by

regularly focusing on the electronic devices as the emergence of the internet has enforced the
people to spend much time on mobile phones and the digital devices.
The most the biggest cause considered for the eyestrain is the extended use of the digital screens
for the large time period. The common causes of the eyestrain are-
focusing on the single task for the long hours
being in the environment where the light is either too dim or too bright
Experiencing poor vision or the eye problems such as the dry eyes.
These are all caused by using the internet for the long hours especially by the children
and the youth age group (Kim, Milne and Bahl, 2018). These age groups uses the internet more
in the present era for playing games, watching film, as well as for studying. Many students study
from the internet continuously as this also causes the eyestrain as they consistently focus on the
mobile phones or the digital screens' ans this leads to the dry eyes.
The another major health problem which is caused by the internet addiction is that it also
affect the mental health of the human beings such as increasing depression. By many studies it
was found that the who spends the limited time on the internet that is the social media tends to be
happier than the people spending long hours on the social media. This indicates that the social
media creates the negative emotions in the users and this leads to worsen more the depression
symptoms and the person not suffering from this health issue may also suffer (Alimoradi and
et.al., 2019). The teenagers and the children's who are addicted much to the internet has the
power or the ability of developing the depression. The young people when they were not using
the internet much are free from this mental health but when they start spending much time on the
internet this creates the development of the depression.
Internet addiction and the depression occurs simultaneously as they both are much
interlinked with each other. The psychological burden of the internet addiction leads to the
contribution in the depression. Depression is spreading among the people with the internet
addiction and this is creating the problems of the social relations tolerance so the people are
suffering from the depression as their capacity of tolerance has been finished. The excessive use
of the internet has caused increase in the level of the psychological problems and this is resulting
in the delays for the eating the meals, less sleep and very limited physical activity as this has lead
to the depression and the overall mental health disorder (Hossain and Faiyazuddin, 2022).
The solutions for reducing the internet addiction:
